131 votesWe’ve finally released this long-awaited feature: creating backdated subscriptions!
While creating a subscription, you can now select an activation date previous to the present date to create a backdated subscription. You can do this from the API as well.
This can be especially useful when you’re manually recording subscriptions days after you’ve made a sale. Also, if you’re migrating your existing subscriptions from another system, this can prove essential.

Please integrate with GoCardless for Direct Debit payments
There is a system called Direct Debit in the UK and is great low-cost way for businesses to collect money from their customers. GoCardless is an online Direct Debit payment gateway and they take all the complexity out of setting up Direct Debits between customers and vendors. Extend existing Subscription
In our project we need to have an ability to extend existing subscription.
For example – we have Basic plan. Then we create subscription with billing_cycles = 12 (It means that subscription will be closed in one year).
We want to add an ability for our customers to extend their subscription, e.g. for 6 month.108 votes -
Custom Fields in Plans
Add custom fields to plans so that users can pull that data into other applications for user provisioning. Items such as usage limits or feature sets would allow you to tie this into other applications so that you don't need to maintain two sets of plan information.

Coupon
Today, Coupons can be one-off or forever. It would be great to have a 3rd option enabling to repaet the coupon during X months; for instance the first 3 months at -50%:

Hold on Subscriptions
I need to be able to put a hold on subscriptions. I'd prefer to not have to cancel a subscription if the customer is suspending auto renewal for a month.

Thank you for showing your support for this feature. We understand that putting customer subscriptions on a temporary hold is really important for your business. Zoho Subscriptions allows you do this by simply pausing the subscriptions.
You can pause it immediately or schedule it for a later date. If you know when it wants to be resumed, you can even tell that to Zoho Subscriptions, and the system will take care of it! Here’s our help document on this:

Option for the customers to add/update card through a link in email
Should allow customers to add/update their credit card by having add/update card link in the email sent for Trial about to expire, Subscriptions renewal ahead, Payment failure emails.

Add SMS notifications
Please add an option for SMS notifications along side email. People don't use email where I live. SMS would be better for communication. Also most (ALL) payments are done offline. So SMS is the best option. Also can I create a customer without adding an email address please?

Zero Quantity for Addons in Public Hosted Pages as an option to deselect the addon

We are happy to announce that Zoho Subscriptions now supports Zero quantity for add-ons in hosted pages.
Following are the steps to enable this.
- Log in to your Zoho Subscriptions account.
- Click on Gear icon > Hosted Pages.
- Next, under the Order Summary tab, check the “Quantity editable”.
- Then, enable the “Allow customer to exclude Addon(s)” checkbox that appears.Thereon customers will be able to enter zero in the add-on quantity.

Webhook for subscription custom fields update action.
If your are using custom fields to keep data specific to your app and you are using Zoho Subsc as the visual interface then it would be necessary to have a webhook trigger on custom fields update to keep your app's db in sync. Please consider this.

In Zoho Subscriptions, when you configure an event-based webhook, you can choose if you’d like to trigger the webhook when any field in a subscription is updated (or) when select fields are updated. By choosing either of these, you can trigger a hook once the subscription custom fields are updated.

Customer Portal

I think having a Customer portal where a customer can view the status of their subscription, view past invoices, payments etc even upgrade / downgrade from there. Similar portal idea to Zoho Books portal would be a great feature. Filter for Customers without a Subscription
We need the ability to show a list of customers who do NOT have a subscription tied to their account. As of right now, we have to manually click each account and visually check to see if there is a subscription tied to the account. Needless to say, with over 100+ accounts, this is nearly impossible to manage.

Allow edition of Subscriptions with Future status
Hello !!
When trying to change the quantity of a subscription that is still with status = Future, using the Zoho Subscriptions API, I got this error:
{"code":107204,"message":"Future subscriptions can not able to update."}
We are working in an automation process that requires an initial (migration) creation of a few thousand subscriptions to start in a future date (in a range of 1 to 365 days), however in that time frame the customer can change the quantity (adding or reducing the number of users) associated with the subscription.
We need to keep that quantity updated, while still waiting for the…

Deleting a subscription that was accidentally created.
Well, possibly you could add a delete function if the subscription never resulted in a transaction? I understand not deleting subscriptions that resulted in a invoice, but if there never was an invoice, no history, etc, i don’t see why it couldn’t be removed from the front-end?

Option to hide "Express Checkout" in Hosted Pages
If Payments Pro gateway is configured, the option to pay through Express Checkout appears by default. It should configurable.
