Client Portal Ordering
Allow customers to log in to the Client Portal to place an order (basically create their own invoice). This would send a notification of the order request that could be accepted by the company and then fulfilled.
As an example, I use Zoho Invoice for my consumer products company to sell wholesale to retailers & distributors. It would be great if they could use the portal to make reorders of the items they are selling through.97 votes
Portal Access to multiple clients from one email address
I find the protal access really useful for my clients so that they can always know where they stand with my account. However I deal with a marketing agecy who sends all their design work to me while managing the process. I invoice the client directly but the marketing agency is an integral part of the team. I would like to give the "middle man" portal access to all of the clients we work on together but I see this is not currently possible.86 votes
Automatically enable Client Portal through CRM
Our company uses Zoho CRM and Zoho Invoice and they're integrated. It doesn't appear that there is an option to "enable client portal" through the CRM side. Therefore we have to create a contact in CRM and then go over to Zoho Invoice software and individually "enable" the clients portal. It would be ideal if we could enable the Client Portal through CRM or automatically "enable client portal" for all contacts in Zoho Invoice.

By setting up an automation workflow in Zoho CRM, you can enable the client portal access for your contacts (in Zoho Invoice) as and when you create them in CRM.

Allow portal to be embedded onto external website
Currently the client portal cannot be embedded onto external websites which means I cannot offer this feature through my website - clients need to access the link which then opens in a new scree/window...would be great if i could embed the portal into my website for smooth customer service19 votes

See client portal "from customer point of view"
There appears to be no way that I can see a client's portal from their perspective. It would be very good to be able to see (and check) what each client sees when they access their portal view.
Therefore, please can you consider, for each client, having a "view client's portal" link against each client entry for which the portal is enabled?12 votes

Though there is no direct link to view the portal interface from a client’s perspective, you can take a look at our help docs which explains each and every section of the portal along with screenshots.
To take an even closer look, you can create a dummy contact with your alternate email address and try enabling portal access so that you can test everything out before starting off your actual invoicing.

Timesheet - detailed report & progress bar on "Client Portal"
I'd like to have within the "Client Portal", the possibility to give access our customers to the detailed timesheets (per project) as well as having the "Logged Hours vs Budgeted Hours" progress bar (per project) on the home page
As an IT service company, we work a lot with prepaid upfront contracts. Customer sign a contract with an amount of work hours, then we have to deliver the job, and send a detailed report to our customers in order they know, in detail, what was done, when, and also the remaining time left on the contract8 votes
Allow clients to review service even without the client portal access
I love the idea of using Zoho Invoice to collect feedback from my cusstomers. My business is a business in which we process one transaction with the customer, and we don't have any more business with this customer for several years down the road. Requesting my customers to create a user name/password for client portal doesn't make sense.
I would like to see the client review functionality to work without enabling the client portal for my customer. This would allow business es like mine with one time customers to request feedback from the customer.8 votes
Allow Customer to Request Estimate
The customer should be able to request a quote directly in the portal with a large descriptive section and the ability to upload files. Then - the Estimate request could come to me and I could accept/decline the request with some text of my own. If Accepted - it simply becomes an Estimate and I can take it from there. If declined - the request goes back to the customer requesting more information or with my explanation of why I can't provide an estimate.7 votes

Contact person needs to be separate for invoicing, estimates and client portals
We deal with large companies and we contacts should not be able to see each other's invoices / estimates, etc. They should only see their own. They all belong to the same company, but they work in different departments.
You should also be able to address email templates to the contact person and not the organisation.5 votes
Terms & Conditions
It would be very helpful, that when a client enters the portal to ACCEPT an estimate, they can also check a box for TERMS and CONDITIONS that shows their acceptance - also - it would be nice to attach a file to that that pops up and show them the specific terms and conditions for acceptance. Customer Messaging in Portal
I am a psychotherapist and often have to share HIPAA material with clients. I know we did some kind of HIPAA compliance form when I first signed on with Zoho.
It would be great to be able to message with clients within the portal. They could be emailed a notification of new messages.
Attachments would be big plus.

Statement Credit or Outstanding
It would be great if the customer statement could show an amount owed in red text and if the customer is in credit then black text. At the moment the figure is a minus when the customer is in credit and they believe they still owe monies.3 votes
