An error occurred while saving the comment Matt commentedAnother month and Zoho still has not implemented this rather basic and easy feature. Can we please get an update on this. How hard can it be?!
An error occurred while saving the comment Matt commentedThis is easy to implement and is very necessary for anyone that uses your estimates module. Why is it taking more than two years to do this?!
An error occurred while saving the comment Matt commentedIs there any reason why this can't be implemented quickly. It seems very simple.

The idea has been released. Thanks for the feedback.
An error occurred while saving the comment Matt commentedThis item was not fully released. There should be no distinction between regular items and composite items. It is a complete pain that Zoho makes people choose one or the other at the time that the item is initially created. Please fix this.
An error occurred while saving the comment Matt commentedIt would be nice if Zoho removed the distinction between regular items and composite items. There's no reason for these to be treated differently. Any item should be able to be a composite item.
An error occurred while saving the comment Matt commentedI would like to reiterate that there should be no distinction between composite items and regular items. A user should be able to make any item a composite item and add any item as a subcomponent of a different composite item. Please fix this.
An error occurred while saving the comment Matt commentedIt should be that any item can be a composite item or a part of a composite item. There should be no distinction between items and composite items. On the item screen, you should be able to indicate the sub-assembly items. This feature should also be included in Zoho Books.

The idea has been moved for review.
An error occurred while saving the comment Matt commentedWhen you review/develop this feature. Please don't build it as a conversion button. Just remove the distinction between composite items and regular items. There shouldn't even be a thing called composite items. You should just be able to start adding the subcomponents of a regular item.
An error occurred while saving the comment Matt commentedThere should be no distinction between composite items and items. You should be able to freely add items as components or assemblies of each other. There should be no restriction on this.

An error occurred while saving the comment Matt commentedRepeating my earlier comments. There should be a warehouse picklist, packing list, and bill of lading for outgoing shipments. For incoming shipments there should be a warehouse receipt pdf (in draft) that can then be marked off as actually received. Finally, the warehouse receipt should be able to span across multiple Purchase Orders. Most large companies receive multiple POs in one incoming shipment. It's silly to only be able to receive the items from a single PO at a time.

An error occurred while saving the comment Matt commentedPlease make all items function as composite items when you implement this feature (i.e., any item can have subcomponents and any item can be a subcomponent of another item). Additionally, it would be nice if we could break out an item into its subcomponents when it's added to a purchase order. For example, we get a sales order from our customer for widget X. In order to produce widget X, we need to buy raw material L, M, and N. From the Sales Order screen, a user can create a new purchase order for back ordered raw materials by adding widget X to the purchase order and then breaking it out into L, M, and N.

An error occurred while saving the comment Matt commentedWe really wish there were attachments for items with revision numbers. We would use this to send a drawing specification sheet to our vendors with our purchase orders. It would be nice if you could upload multiple attachments for items and mark some as approved to send with POs.

An error occurred while saving the comment Matt commentedSimilarly, it would be very helpful if Zoho revised the entire Package and Shipment process. We should be able to create Packages from Invoices, not just Sales Orders. We should be able to add weights and dimensions to the packages. We should be able to store weights and dimensions for items that related to the packages.

An error occurred while saving the comment Matt commentedIt would be very helpful if Zoho revised the entire Receive/Receipt process. We should be able to edit a Receipt. We should be able to add items from multiple POs to a Receipt. We should be able to Receive a Bill (with Items from multiple POs). We should be able to add attachments to Receipts (scanned paperwork, photos of the items, inspections, etc.). I think it would be very useful if Zoho spent a little time rethinking the Receive/Receipt process.

An error occurred while saving the comment Matt commentedJust link to existing payroll providers, like Zenefits and Gusto
A user may need to send bills, along with PDF attachments, for several reasons. This could be to acknowledge receipt to a vendor, to forward to an external bill pay service for payment, or to send internally for review and approval.
