Composite items can be put in other composite items
This would make for better use in a manufacturing environment. Sub-assemblies are often used in a full assembly (composite item) so we would need a way to keep track of built or in stock sub-assemblies. We could do this if a composite item could be used in another composite item.
The idea has been released. Thanks for the feedback.

This item was not fully released. There should be no distinction between regular items and composite items. It is a complete pain that Zoho makes people choose one or the other at the time that the item is initially created. Please fix this.

It would be nice if Zoho removed the distinction between regular items and composite items. There's no reason for these to be treated differently. Any item should be able to be a composite item.

I would like to reiterate that there should be no distinction between composite items and regular items. A user should be able to make any item a composite item and add any item as a subcomponent of a different composite item. Please fix this.

It should be that any item can be a composite item or a part of a composite item. There should be no distinction between items and composite items. On the item screen, you should be able to indicate the sub-assembly items. This feature should also be included in Zoho Books.

This would be amazing! Right now we pre-package some parts of a composite item to save time. At the moment I have to unbox that pre-packaged composite item each time I sell a different composite item, just to keep numbers the same.
