Manufacturing
Have the ability to take raw fabrics and convert them to finished products.
For example:
Fabric A costs $5 / m
Finished product 1 takes 0.5 m of fabric A to make plus labor.
You increase finished product 1 by 1 pc. The BOM (bills of material) automatically reduces fabric A by 0.5 meters and calculates labour or 15 minutes to come up with a final cost for finished product 1.
Is basic manufacturing going to be available for zoho inventory?

I'm not sure why Zoho hasn't updated this, but the Composite Items functionality within Inventory is working and does what the OP and many (most?) manufacturers need for at least baseline manufacturing operations.
Their nomenclature is terrible, but "Bundling" items is essentially manufacturing said items. Each Composite Item has a BOM (they call it "Associated Items") that can include labor. Bundling (aka assembling) a new composite item has the expected impacts to BOM item inventory counts and accounting values.
As with anything, there are improvements that could be made, but the basic functionality appears to currently be available.

ERP Gold Software
You must have a look at ERP Gold software. It will help you to manage your inventory as well as provide you with Serialized inventory management. It will also enable you to access multiple channels for your merchandise. -

just need to make a composite item with the fibre length details and the labour as a service (create labour as an item). Next bundle this composite item, the sub item stocks will automatically reduce and the composite item stock will increase. This is the simple yet effective walkaround.

Hello, we have a huge problem with Zoho inventory in order process. we really like Zoho service and products but the inventory is not correct and the batch number functionality is against all warehouse rules. its cant work for food companies and we need to know if we should keep hope or give up on zoho:(
it is very wrong behavior that sales order and package cannot add batch number or bring the batch from invoice. the batch number needs to be created in the picking stage and sales order stage. if we add the batch number to invoice than we cannot let warehouse pickers use it as they should not see the pricing of items and the total amount of invoices so this must be on the sales order and package slip. but the system wont let you create invoice if you did not pick the batches and at the same time you cant charge payment on sales order. we are totally stuck.
this is the right way to do it:
1. create sales order with option to take payment and add batch numbers.
2. convert to package with the batch numbers to pick and pack.
3. create the shipment .
4. issue final invoice that included with all the important information such as butch numbers, tracking numbers, package number, warehouse notes, etc.
Or another correct way to do it is:
1. create the invoice with option to add batches.
2. convert to sales order or package to show the batch numbers on both. and allow warehouse to change the batches they are picking and packing the order.
3. create shipment.
4. update the invoice with the tracking number, batched they warehouse picked.
We will be happy to work with your head developer and provide our 15 years experience working on the warehouse floor and using different systems.

I bought Zoho Books and Zoho Inventory ignorantly assuming that this was a part of the inventory and book keeping process, since it was advertised as "FOR" manufacturers. I have not found a way to take the materials "work in progress" that I intended to use projects for, and turn that into inventory.
The concept of Projects is a great basis for tracking work in progress... it would be fantastic if this were then convertible into inventory.

Yes, an MRP and production planning would be a wonderful feature. Considering most smaller platforms (QuickBooks, Fresh Books, etc) do not offer this either, this would be a huge standout.

Please make all items function as composite items when you implement this feature (i.e., any item can have subcomponents and any item can be a subcomponent of another item). Additionally, it would be nice if we could break out an item into its subcomponents when it's added to a purchase order. For example, we get a sales order from our customer for widget X. In order to produce widget X, we need to buy raw material L, M, and N. From the Sales Order screen, a user can create a new purchase order for back ordered raw materials by adding widget X to the purchase order and then breaking it out into L, M, and N.
