Option to add a web link to an item
It would be great feature to have the option of adding a web link when creating any item. Since most invoicing has now become web based with very little printing, it would be useful to allow the customer to click on the item name and then be directed to any web page. This web page could be anything, you tube video of how to use the product, google drive folder with all brochures, MSD Sheets, warranties etc or even just single pdf brochures.

Assign items to a vendor
Assign purchased items to a vendor. The purchase information can be entered for an item, but the vendor field is not visible. When the items are exported, the field is in the export.

In the item view, allow the selection of multiple items, and then an action to generate a quotation from the items.

Please add feature sale filter report by items for each sale person.
Now i am experiencing difficulties in filtering the total sale for each item for sale person because in my company there are many sale person who sell services or products with different commission rate. So when I want to calculate/filter those sale persons, i cannot.

Automatic import of items from square register
Allow automatic importing from other apps, such as square register. So if items are already entered there they will import and sync daily to keep track of inventory that is sold.

Price breaks by quantity
Add the ability to set pricing based on quantity sold. Example:
If I sell one item the price is $10 / item, if I sell 10 of these items the price become $8 / item.

It is now possible to create Quantity-based Price Lists for items.
Please navigate to Price List creation page → select “Enter the rate individually for each item” option in Item Rate → click “Volume Pricing” in Pricing Scheme. (Refer the screenshot attached)
The Start Quantity and End Quantity will denote the range of item quantity and you can assign the Custom Rate per item for each range. A maximum of 10 ranges can be added for each item.
Once the price list is created and applied for transactions, the line items will acquire the custom rate based on the quantity entered.

Sales Price range for Items
Should be able to give minimum sales price and maximum sales price for an Item

Allow users to view item prices across all price lists.
Need to see end user pricing, distributor pricing and our cost in the same view. We have over 200 items so have to use the csv export to make simple updates to a price list. This is ripe for errors and is a severe hinderance in Books. CRM does it right, please implement in Books.

item description
When looking at items, it only shows description/ SKU, but not both. Ideally I should have a field chooser, where I can choose which fields I need displayed to make my work easier. Right now I work with SKU, but am unable to see the description together. Please help.

Have new facility for Item Groups
We have products that are made up of multiple items, for example a "Promo Pack" might include :
10 x Leaflets
5 x Posters
50 x booklets
It would be good if we could create a new "item group" that included could include multiple line items in predefined quantities that way we could add these groups with a single selection rather than having to enter each individual line.9 votes -
Add a tax component to a purchase item.
Please add a tax component to a purchase item to enable the item to be allocated a tax rate so when it flows through to a purchase order then onto a bill it has the tax rate allocated.

Items - Multi Currency Purchase Rates ?
Hi,
We do International Trading and buy products in multi currencies. However the Items purchase rate is fixed as per company's base currencies and this does not suit us. This results in a false value to our stock and affects all our reporting.
Even if we convert the purchase rate into the base currency, this rate will never be accurate unless it's updated on a daily rate basis. This is not even an option.

Allow me to import all of my inventory data from quickbooks enterprise solutions.

- Preffered Vender

- Income Account
- Asset Account

- Quantity on handAlso easily editing multiple items at a time would be very helpfull. Like using an excel program within the item list.

Serial Number Tracking
Allow items to have a serial number Entered in the System.
1. Enter Serial of Items/Goods and dated purchased.
2. Warranty Periods for Serial Numbered Items

Pick Items by serial number when doing customer invoices (it helps when items get faulty during their warrant period and to know where there goods where bought from and return to original supplier or manufacturer.) We are having look check the items if there are returns and start opening files to see where we bought from and is it still under warranty.

Serial Number Tracking and bar code scanning are not planned in Zoho Books. I have some good news though!
We are launching a new product called Zoho Inventory. That will address your requirement. And what’s more Zoho Inventory and Zoho Books are tightly integrated.

be able to choose for an item to go into liability instead of sale or expense.
We have to collect gratituity tips from customers and pay them out to workers but that money should be going into liability account not as income and i have to manually move it through journal entries and it's a pain. Most accounting programs let you add an item straight into liability.
