  1. Profit Margin

    Include a way to show the profit margin for each item as it added to estimates as well as show the total profit margin near the total for the estimate. The profit margin should be dynamic in a way so that you could adjust your price and see the change in the item margin and total margin for the estimate. This would also work for invoices. Of course this would only be viewable to the business side.

  2. put optional items on estimates or allow zero quantity items on estimates for upgrades

    Need a way to add an optional upgrade to an estimate. It could be a specific designation by line item or allow us to input zero for the item quantity.

  3. Allow discounts at individual item level and/or at invoice level

    This applies to all item level documents (Estimates, Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, etc).
    In Settings -> Preferences -> General -> Do you give discounts? you can only select one (Radio Button) of the 3 options:
    - I don't give discounts
    - At individual item level
    - At invoice level

    I would like to suggest that a document may have BOTH item level and document level discounts.

  5. Customer can choose which items on estimate they want done.

    Make a Check box next to each line item name or near the dollar amount so clients can "choose" which services they want done. especially for construction there can be alot of separate items that are quoted. Then make the total reflect the items they selected. easy. thanks.

  6. I would like to be able to customize more the templates of the invoices or estimates

    I would need for example to show only the subtotal but not the total and taxes, stuff like that.

  7. To convert an estimate or sales order into a purchase order

    It would be really helpfull to convert an estimate to a purchase Order to vendor and the only thing that would need change is the pricing.
    But It will cut a lot of steps if you are able to do it.
    Can be either from an estimate or Sales Order.

  8. Documents Option on Client Portal

    As your Client Portal has all main things, it would be awesome if we could upload documents which the clients could see on the portal, this would be great for service industries who need to give clients some fixed deliverables, so such deliverables can be submitted using the portal and client can accept or reject on the portal.

  9. Approve other documents in portal

    Clients can already approve estimates in the portal, but we would like them to also approve our Terms and conditions.
    Is it possible to configure a document upload tool in the portal were vendors can upload several pdf documents for clients to approve?
    This can be the terms but maybe also drawings or plans?

  10. custom fields

    custom fields visible on the quote, but not on the bill.

    for completion times for example - useful on the quote, useless on the invoice once the work

  11. Direct enter of 'amount' on estimates

    Please create a setting that would allow us to enter the 'amount' on an invoice and not the 'per item' amount. Reverse the math.
    Example: I enter the quantity of 200 and the amount of $459, the system calculates the per item cost of $2.295.

    If this was a toggle option:
    A: enter quantity & per item cost, system calculates the total (current set up)
    toggle to
    B: enter quantity & total cost, system calculates the per item cost.
    Currently we are having to manually calculate the per item cost on a calculator, then entering it so it correctly so…

  12. Zoho Books - Sending "reminder" emails for expiring estimates

    It would be great if Zoho Books can email the clients that their estimates are about to expire, rather than setting up a reminder to yourself to follow up. This would effectively be more efficient as you won't need to think about it.

    Please offer this as part of the service!!

  13. optional items in ESTIMATE

    Include possibility to add "optional" items in ESTIMATE... where the price can be shown (rate), with Qty. entered as zero.

    At the moment, as per help center, it is only possible to zero the optional items' value... which to the customer can mean items are also included.

  14. Estimate Status- Add a closed or completed option. Invoiced is not enough as we can invoice for part of an estimate and it is not completed.

  15. Estimates status

    Would be nice to have the option for custom status on quotes so we can set automate emails based on the status of the quote.

    At least have one more option then just Expected or Declined.

    What we are looking for is the option for indecision making so we can send customer automated email reminders based on the status of the quote/estimate.

  16. post delivery of estimates and invoices

    I might be working on an Estimate at 10pm and it is ready to go.

    So I just want to send it.

    But I don’t want to send an email to my client at 10pm.

    And I don’t want to have to remember to come back to it the next day, or maybe in 2 -3 days time.

    So it would be really helpful to be able to SCHEDULE the delivery of an estimate email at some future date and time.

    In addition to the SEND button, there would be a SCHEDULE SEND button with a date and time pop-up.

    In Estimate, Sales Orders, Invoices
    Where it says + add another line
    Give the Option to add a text line rather that a product line.

    We need to group products i.e. four or five lines and then add notes under the group. The ability to add a text line would give me the ability to do this. This should be very simple for you to add.

  18. Work flow automation Estimate to Sales Order

    When a customer accepts an estimate the next step should be available as an automated work flow. ie: Upon accepted estimate create an open sales order. This should happen if the client self accepts the estimate via the portal or if the Zoho user accepts the estimate for the client.

  19. Budgeting and Estimate for the a year

    Please create the estimates/budget/projection template and its comparative with actual performance. We want to see what we said at the beginning of the year and what actually we are doing per month.

  20. Mark up when creating Estimates

    Add a mark up option when creating Estimates for each item. It should be entered by the user as a percentage value. The total cost of the item should be automatically updated based on the mark up value. It should be visible only to internal users and not appear in the final estimate.
