    Is there a timeline for this feature? It is literally the one thing holding me back from using Zoho Inventory as otherwise our inventory levels will become messed up since I also have to use a PO instead.

    Hi there,

    We now have a Zoho Inventory Add on option for Zoho Books. You can take a look at that. You can achieve a lot of these features using Zoho Inventory.

    Regarding your requirements,

    1- You can use the backtracking option to achieve this in Zoho Inventory. https://www.zoho.com/in/inventory/kb/sales-order/so-back-order.html

    2- We have default shipping status based on the carrier in Zoho Inventory
    You can refer this link – https://www.zoho.com/in/inventory/help/sales-orders/shipments.html

    3- You can use the custom function feature to calculate the sales commission.

    4- sales profile and commission rate linked to different items – We currently do not have this option

    5 – search of the items should be enhanced – For queries on this you can send us an email at support@zohobooks.com

    6- We are working on item category in Zoho Inventory and will definitely update you.

    I also believe linking items to suppliers is essential, so you can have a proper tracking of what is purchased from where. Multiple suppliers per product sku, with different pricing listings. Example: supplier A you purchase the item for X cost, and supplier B for this cost.

    I agree that this is a very useful idea, and can also go further into reporting to show profit/loss per order, for example since you can track PO / Invoice together for sales price and purchase price

    I agree with this, (I am the one who posted PO from invoice)

    Products/Items should have vendor associations aka who you purchase them from. Having the ability to have multiple would be even better. You can also better track and report on your purchases this way.

    When you have an invoice you can create multiple PO's with auto fill based on vendor/item association with cost taken into effect.
