  1. Multiple Line Items for TDS in a single Bill and Payments Entry

    There are certain complex transactions where more than one TDS sections are involved. For Eg. a Single Bill/ payment may contain an item with implication of section 194J along with an item with implication of Section 194I along with an implication of GST TDS u/s 51. Therefore such single Bill/ payment entry needs multiple TDS line item fields for TDS adjustments which is not ther in Zoho books and makes it difficult.   2. Transactions approval at Zoho Books

    To be able to enable approval for each type of transaction and able to establish approval criteria, in such a way that each case had different approvers and that even certain transactions will be approved automatically.

  3. Payment Methods via Portal

    It is very important for us to be able to control how a client pays via the portal. We can choose to let them pay only CC, but we do not have the option for them to pay only ACH. We need this badly. We love the portal and our customers/vendors are enjoying the visibility into their accounts, but we CAN NOT have a customer paying a 100k invoice with a CC. The fees are just too high. So we really need the option to have ACH, but not CC. Please, please, please.

  4. Transfer the balance of one party to another party through manual journal

    There are the cases where the balance of one customer is transfer to another customer due to the reasons like the parties may be sister concern and alike.

    In such case these transfer of balance should be allowed through manual journal.

  5. Assign user to a branch

    Currently a user can access all branches. It would be great if a user can be assigned one particular branch instead of the default branch.

  6. Create a Work Order document type

    The Sales Order document module is a little different, dealing with expenses and what not - It is not ideal for using as a work order system. I like Zoho Books. It is nearly a start to finish product for our business. But here's an idea:
    What our company, which is service oriented, needs is something similar to a dispatch or work order document module.

  7. Manual entry of tax amount for expenses

    In Australia, some expenses are not taxed at the full GST rate, especially when dealing with government departments. For instance, I just purchased an online file for a total cost of $13.26 (incl GST) yet the total GST that I paid was only $0.46 which is nowhere near the standard 10% GST.

    I"d suggest that where the radio buttons are to nominate whether the expense amount is inclusive or exclusive of GST (tax) that an additional option be included somehow to manually enter an actual GST amount paid as part of the expense.

    Without this it is impossible to correctly…

  9. Mass update of invoices

    I would like to be able to mass update my invoices, for example the date of the invoices or due dates of invoices.

  10. Tracking pixel for invoice - shows open

    Each invoice e-mail sent to EACH user should have a tracking pixel embedded so the administrator can tell when an e-mail has been view as well as when an attachment or link has been clicked to track viewing of invoices as attachments as well as opens by users. This information would then be presented as part of a color coded history shown for each invoice just like Freshbooks (shown here). This way your customers can NEVER say they haven't seen an e-mail when you know they have downloaded the attachment and opened the e-mail multiple times (all tracked by user).…

  11. Allow users to view item prices across all price lists.

    Need to see end user pricing, distributor pricing and our cost in the same view. We have over 200 items so have to use the csv export to make simple updates to a price list. This is ripe for errors and is a severe hinderance in Books. CRM does it right, please implement in Books.

  13. Work flow automation Estimate to Sales Order

    When a customer accepts an estimate the next step should be available as an automated work flow. ie: Upon accepted estimate create an open sales order. This should happen if the client self accepts the estimate via the portal or if the Zoho user accepts the estimate for the client.

  14. Add a weight field. In addition to a description field there should be a way to show the item's weight.

    I would like to have a column that shows the weight of an item sold and a total estimated weight at the bottom of the invoice. Their should be an option to list the weight as you would a part number or item description.

    In the European Union, when a company's sales is over €650k p.a., and its purchases are over €500k p.a., that company must report for VIES, and Intrastat.

    custom fields visible on the quote, but not on the bill.

    for completion times for example - useful on the quote, useless on the invoice once the work

  17. Implore you to make typing SO and Invoices EASY!

    I'm so disappointing there are not custom preferences for typing/quick entry lines for SO and Invoices.

    Standard by MYOB, AccountEdge, Quickbooks, etc:
    Quantity first, TAB, SKU, ENTER to create new line!

    Why is SKU first? Standard English, you say quantity first, then the SKU. Please add option to reverse order of these two fields!

    Pressing enter does not create a new line, it submits invoice! Why!? I need to click with my mouse physically "+Add another line" every time? What if I need to type 50 items, or 100 items?

    Please fix this oversight, it is really crazy! Keep this…

  19. Track Project Spending/Expenses

    I am desperate to be able to track proper project spend. I cannot produce a report that shows expenses. I can only attribute a purchase to a project by raised it as an expense. That is then not trackable and is logged as paid. I find this very frustrating. Please can you change it so bills can be project related. I would also like a report that tells me how much I have spent on a project in money, not time.

  20. Auto-generating invoice prefix PER CUSTOMER

    Currently if you use an auto generated invoice/estimate # it uses a single prefix for all invoices. (example, INV-00076) It would be helpful organizationally to have the option for the prefix to be set per customer. So each contact could have auto-generating invoice and estimate numbers that use their unique prefix. (So Bob's Firework Palace could have a prefix of BFP-00017, and Tech Barn could be TB-00099). It would be great to have the ability to set this for invoices and estimates separately per customer and also a field for a global option.
