Hi there,
We now have a Zoho Inventory Add on option for Zoho Books. You can take a look at that. You can achieve a lot of these features using Zoho Inventory.

Regarding your requirements,
1- You can use the backtracking option to achieve this in Zoho Inventory. https://www.zoho.com/in/inventory/kb/sales-order/so-back-order.html
2- We have default shipping status based on the carrier in Zoho Inventory
You can refer this link – https://www.zoho.com/in/inventory/help/sales-orders/shipments.html3- You can use the custom function feature to calculate the sales commission.
4- sales profile and commission rate linked to different items – We currently do not have this option
5 – search of the items should be enhanced – For queries on this you can send us an email at support@zohobooks.com
6- We are working on item category in Zoho Inventory and will definitely update you.

Hmmm, curious as to why zoho inventory who has their own accounting package would want to integrate with QB. Its great that they do, but its very interesting.

Do you mean like a batch invoice at the end of the month? so presently when you send items to your customers you do not invoice them? what would happen at the end of the month if the client says they did not receive the item or the qty was incorrect, as a month is a long time and perhaps not in your industry but people often forget what they have received. -- but i think you are takinb about a summer batch invoice by customer. -- If you dont invoice them every shipment, then at some point you will need to enter all the line items, you can do this at the end of the month and send them details -- i think it should be recorded somewhere.

Do you mean when you receive a shipment form your supplier, you want to have a method to see which items to pack for your customers and the qty on hand, qty in stock, qty pack for customer a,b,c, -- i suggested something similar already.

yes i 100% agree. Also where is SKU info? What we really need is
SKU, NAME, DESCRIPTION, attribute1, attribute2, UOM, PRICE, TOTALI would be nice to have customizations of the fields that we need, ALSO i am very curious as to why the description field always appears on the next line when entering line items. It takes up so much screen space. If we are entering 100 line items, there is a lot of wasted space. Put it on the same row, or offer the option to put on same row.

Can you export them in csv, excel and then import them as sales orders into Zoho ?

Hello, interesting idea,..Our warehouse does a stock check every 3 months, and we print out a report of all our SKUS and check of the QTY for each. I guess what you are saying is you would like a report showing all the SKU'S , On Hand QTY, and a check box to see if it is correct, if its not correct then you should be able to drill down to see the SKU movement ,and make an adjustment. Should not be hard to implment.

Yes, there are many free API / javascripts that can implement this using opensource code. Images can be resized upon uploading in to two thumbnail sizes, small and medium, and retain the original large image as well -- I will also propose to have more than 1 image per SKU, this will help with creating reports to show customers, and or integrating with ecommerce applications in the future.

Hi Leon, Do you mean when your warehouse receives a shipment form your supplier, you would like to create a PACKING SLIP to inform your warehouse staff how to pick/pack the cargo?
Or do you mean PACKING LIST, which is a weight/measurement list for items sold to your customer. -- I have proposed both of these options to Zoho, and hope they can work on these, and will be happy to provide more information.
I agree that SKU include NAME & DESCRIPTION should be on all Invoices/Purchase/Package slips, currently it hides the SKU information for some odd reason. lets discuss as i think you and me are looking for the same thing, which i am sure many other business that keep inventory will need.

Don't they already have SKU field already? isn't that the same as a serial number?
