Create a Packing List (needed for all imports/exports/customs)

Many business export and import cargo, either domestically or international. ZOHO inventory can already create a SALES INVOICE for items sold, but how about a detailed packing list.. Not a package slip, but a PACKING LIST, this is a international standardize document used to inform the shipping company/airline/transport vessel the following

-NO. OF PACKAGES/BOXES/CARTONS/CRATES etc. (called master carton)
-WEIGHT OF EACH MASTER CARTON
-Item contents of the CARTON, i.e. how many items in each carton and what items?
-CBM (cubic feet space) of each carton
-Dimension of Each carton wxhxl

It is a common document that is important to send to customers as if any cargo is stolen or lost, the insurance company will always refer to the packing list.. if there is no packing list, you are in trouble... I think this should be part of Zoho Books as it creates SALE INVOICES, but either inventory or Zoho books is fine, but it is a must!

    Packing list main body (table) has following headers.

    BOX NO. - Carton/ Package No.
    ITEM NO. - Serial No. of each item placed inside the carton as per Export Invoice
    Description of Goods - As per Export Invoice
    HSN/ SAC : HSN Code
    QTY TOTAL : Total count of items inside the carton
    NET WEIGHT PER PIECE (GRAMS) : Net weight of each item
    GROSS WEIGHT (KG.) : Of the carton including outside protective packaging material.
    NET WEIGHT (KG) : Of the Carton (reducing empty carton weight + outside protective packaging material). In other words total weight of all items placed inside a carton.
    Package/ Carton Dimensions : L x B x H in cms : Needed for volumetric weight calculation

    If Packing list runs into multiple pages, then option to carry forward qty, gross weight & net weight to next page.

    Packing list is an absolute mandatory document for all Indian Exporters. Without this shipment is not picked by logistics companies and customs shipping bill can not be issued.

    Hi, any news on this topic? We also export and the packing slip is useless for this purpose, We need to create a packing list as described above and ideally have the option to generate an excel Commercial Invoice from the actual invoice

    Don't forget Commercial and Proforma Invoices as well. They are essential for customs clearance.

    Also the same must be done for pallets also. we are putting the products to boxes then bulking the boxes to pallets and boxes are forwarded with pallets. so we need to know

    -NO. OF pallets (called master pallet)
    -WEIGHT OF EACH MASTER pallet
    -Item contents of the pallets, i.e. how many items in each pallets and how many boxes?
    -CBM (cubic feet space) of each pallet
    -Dimension of Each pallets

    Has this been implemented yet? This feature is basic & is urgently required.
