Display Base Currency Value of Foreign Currency in bills
When capturing a foreign currency bill or expense, have the base currency value reflect under the foreign currency value.
This would be similar to how the markup is shown on an invoice while editing, just it will be on the rate, the item total and invoice total

Amount Column in Expenses or Bills Tab default to base currency with additional column for Foreign Currency
When viewing bills or expenses in their respective "list" view please can we have an option to have the amount default to the base currency but with the vendor currecny value underneath similar to the way a markup value shows underneath a billed expense

rotate
Pretty simple - a little rotate button on uploaded documents (like expense receipts) that allows to rotate left or right when image is not the correct orientation.
OR even better - AUTO orient uploaded images to display correctly. Seems a little crazy that something so simple is not available when everything else is so perfected after all these years.

Pull an expense from Zoho Expense into a line item on an Invoice to bill customer for expense
For passing through expenses to customers, the ability to assign an expense to a customer and populate in into an invloice in books. Even better if it can be assigned based on project.

CUSTOM FIELDS for BILLS
I know I can have custom fields for EXPENSES but is it possible allow this for BILLS? Basically theyre both costs, so its irrelevant if it’s a BILL or EXPENSE.
Also, can you make those fields mandatory?

Edit expense category
Provide an option to edit, add or remove expense category. This was available in Zoho Invoice but not in Zoho books.

Easier view to see that you have multiple attachments
Right now we see this:

I cannot easily see that I have two attachments and also the names of the attachments are not displayed. It would be nice to display the number of attachments and in the center or at the bottom to display the name of attachment.2 votes -

seperate bills & Expenses in reports sections. like it is separated in Users & Roles. a no access user to expenses still can see it inreport
in Roles, it is great to allow us to separate the access between the bills & the expenses. but surprisingly still the user can see the expenses registered in the bills reports!!

Bill entry could be easier.
When entering bills you shouldn't have to go into each item to make it billable and link it to a contact. It should be simpler. Maybe add a check box at the end of each item or a check all box. At the top you should give the option to pick the contact to link the bill to. This would streamline the entry.

Mileage Rate Settings: Sort by Start Date
In Expenses Preferences, Mileage Rates—where the mileage rate is specified for a start date—appear to be sorted based on when the entry was made.
It would be helpful if this list was sorted by Start Date.

Add new Data feild
Please add CGST AND IGST data field to be pulled in customize reports from ZOHO Books. It will resolve 2 issues:
1.Item Total will not be wrong
2. Item TAX % break up will clearly be visible in the report.

Multiple branches to share expenses & Financial reports
We need one expense / Bill to share among different branches. This could be acheived by Branch selection line by line on Expense / Bills Forms. For Sales it should be one branch to select at top of Invoice.

I would like the ability to see an itemized breakdown of 'others' in the dashboard pie chart when I click that category.

Enable mortgage loans against property
This is a sorely missing feature. The software should enable the entry of loan principal, interest rate and term and enable the reduction of the loan and the interest expense to be easily recorded. Keeping two separate accounts for principal and interest and having to enter two transactions per month is cumbersome.

Granular Restrictions by Roles to only show the data created by the user to that user
If administrator allow Create Expense or View Expense. all user see all expenses of company.
But Give User Right to create expense but not see company all expenses.This is a very important feature. For example, salary goes into expenses and if we give a sales manager access to expenses to record his daily expenses, he will be able to see everyone's salaries, which makes it non-practical.
Ideally, there has to be a permission level, whereby sales guys can create, view, update only the expenses that they have created.

allow for the ability to pay multiple vendor bills at once
It would be more efficient to be able to see all your outstanding vendor invoices on one screen and be able to select which ones you would like to pay. This way you will be able to pay more than one vendor at a time. We run checks weekly, so it can be as many as 30 checks a week, having to go into 30 separate vendors each week is tedious.
