  1. Profit report by project

    As time entries are linked to projects, invoices, expenses and bills should also be assigned to projects. That way a profit report by project could would also be possible.

    Hi,

    We now have the option to run Profit and Loss reports based on Projects.

    You can go to Profit and Loss report and click on the customise option, you will see the option to select a Project there.

  2. Sub-Accounts in Chart of Accounts

    This feature would allow users to classify accounts in the Chart of Accounts as "Parent" and "Child". The Parent account is the sum of all the Child, or sub-accounts, under it. This structure would be applied for every type of account (COGS, Expense, Income, etc). The feature would also allow users to re-classify existing accounts as "sub-accounts" or Child accounts of existing Parent accounts.

    This feature is the basic structure which can be used to create more powerful reporting. For example in the Profit & Loss a user could see the detail and summary views of the P&L. The detail…

  3. Add a column for "balance" in bank accounts

    Add a column for balance so that I can see what my balance is with every listed transaction. This would be much easier for scheduling and re-arranging bill payments and projecting account balances without having to run a report every time I reschedule or change a bill payment date.

  5. Integrate with GoCardless payment gateway

    There is a system called Direct Debit in the UK and is great low-cost way for businesses to collect money from their customers. GoCardless is an online Direct Debit payment gateway and they take all the complexity out of setting up Direct Debits between customers and vendors. Look here - https://gocardless.com/direct-debit/introduction/ please, please, please do this! This would be a great addition to ZoHo Books/Subscription.

    Hi,

    We have added the option to add Arabic Language in the templates. To create an invoice with the Language as Arabic, go to Templates→ New → Choose the language as Arabic.
    For the invoices to be shown in Arabic completely you would have to fill in the details in the invoice, manually at contact and at the invoice level in Arabic.

  9. add remittance notifications

    Having paid a vendor's bill, I want to be able to send them an email, notifying them, with an automated remittance notification listing the invoice(s) that have been paid.
    We've just moved from Kashflow, and it was a very easy process: make a payment, click the email button, and it would send the email automatically. There was a template we could edit to customise the message, and the remittance was attached as a pdf.

    Hi,

    We now have the option to send out remittance notification in Zoho Books. You can send a notification to inform the vendors once the payments have been made.

    To send out the email, please go to Payments Made → Click on the email icon.

    You can customise the contents of the mail notification in Settings > Email Templates > Payment Made Notification.

  12. Early access to Zoho Books - Zoho CRM integration

    Hello Everyone,

    We're enhancing the integration between Zoho Books and Zoho CRM.

    As part of this enhancement, you will be able to

    1. Access Zoho Books module (invoices,estimates,sales orders) inside Zoho CRM.
    2. Create/edit/view/email invoices, estimates and sales orders from Zoho CRM.
    3. Create custom views, reports and dashboards for the Zoho Books module in Zoho CRM.
    4. Associate activities and notes to the Zoho Books module from within Zoho CRM and view them in Zoho Books as well.
    5. View the comments added to invoices, estimates and sales orders inside Zoho Books in Zoho CRM.

  13. Bills posted to projects

    We can already post timesheets & expenses to projects.
    Why can we post bills?
    Other than a professional services company, "bills" are always likely to be by far the largest component in Job Costing, and therefore the most important.

  14. Client Portal

    I think in terms of the Client Portal - it would be great if you could add Custom Fields from the contact details within to the Client Portal - so when clients login they can see all their invoices and also details relating to their specific account like passwords, usernames, logins and more - anything that you can currently add in as a Custom Field to Invoices to be added into the Client Portal with a space for us to add in notes for the client to view when they need?

  15. import journals

    One of the strengths of Zoho Books I find is that it's possible to enter manual journals. As some are reoccurring and the accountant will provide some journal entries as well via Excel, I would strongly vote for an option to import journals into Zoho Books rather then typing them in manually.

  17. Integrate zoho project time sheets / hours with zoho books

    All my hours are tracked in zoho project, it would be great if I could import my approved time sheets into zoho books to pay my contractors. seems like an improvement to the integration. thanks!

  18. Allow the use of custom domain name for portal URL (http://xyz.mydomain.com)

    Would be great to be able to invite customers on a portal URL such as 'portal.mydomain.com' instead of 'https://books.zoho.com/portal/mycompanyname'.

    Zoho is already doing it for Zoho Connect and Zoho Support. Why not for Zoho books?
