Add an acceptance button on estimates without giving them access to client portal
Hi all,
We have now introduced the option for the customers to accept or decline the Estimates without accessing the client portal. The customer will be able to access the public URL and accept/decline the Estimate. Please have a look at this Help Document to set this option. – https://www.zoho.com/books/help/estimate/preferences.html#basic
Regards,
Zoho Books Team

As an interim solution this would be quite easy to create a script on your website using the Books API that does this for you and link to that URL instead of back to books.

Come on Zoho developers, this is a basic function of any good financial package today. all of your competitors offer this. This request was made over two years ago!

This is HUGE for our company. They're not clients until they accept an estimate. We don't want to go setting up portals for everyone we're trying to START business with. And we don't want our frequent clients to have to jump through tons of hoops and log in every time we send them a new estimate. If this doesn't become a top priority and get added to Books (and SOON), we'll probably be getting rid of Books (and possibly our Zoho One subscription since the financial piece was such a big factor in our decision in the first place; it didn't even occur to us that a system for sending invoices wouldn't have an accept button that you could use with or without a client portal because it seemed like such a default thing to include).

Gathering Information since Jul 2018!!!!!!! This is a must have...for some reason about 1/8 of my estimates fail to get to my perspective clients it would be nice to know if they received them, if not I can call and ask them to check spam or resend!

The acceptance feature would be great, please at least give us notification when the customer Views the Estimate or Invoice

I too would like to know when this feature will be available from Zoho Books. The obvious and expressed value of this feature warrants it receiving priority.

Dear Zoho, can you give us an estimated completion date of this feature?

We are (WERE) considering a move to Zoho Invoice from Freshbooks, but.... if clients can't simply click on a button to Accept and instead have to go through the process of using a portal - that means losing customers!

This is a very needed feature that I expected to be available by default.

I would also like this, many of my clients are one off clients, they don't want to create usernames and passwords, especially if they're not clients yet. Please add the accept button so that I can make use of these. I don't use this feature as it is, I just send an email breakdown currently.

Agree, this is important

We expected this option to be here. We may not be on Zoho much longer without this functionality, this is too basic.Only Payment details should be behind a gateway.

We came to Zoho from Freshbooks. It had the Accept button on estimates so the client gets an email for the quote (which they are expecting), it opens the page, the customer makes sure the price and qty etc is correct and clicks on accept button right there.
Currently, the customer needs to logon to client portal to accept the quote in Zoho and that's just too long. Most customers are not going to bother with it, infect Zoho team should have the telemtery data on it. How many times do you think a customer logs in to client portal to accept a quote?
This is important feature because it is convenient for the customers and it also means the customer explicitly accepted the quote so there is no room for any misunderstandings or arguments about payment of the invoice.
