Allow recurring expenses to be itemized (split between different accounts)
Zoho Books now supports itemized/split expense accounts for manually added expenses. However, this feature is not currently available when creating recurring expenses. As a result, recurring expenses that have more than one component (e.g. a recurring payment made with principle and interest components, or direct-cost and tax components) need to be set up as distinct recurring expenses.
It would be nice if recurring expenses offered the same feature set as manually added expenses.

Hide columns while creating transactions
Would be great to hide some of our columns (esp. customs fields) while creating transactions. This will be very useful on smaller screens as well as split screen, when you don't need all that extra info!
Custom fields are not always required and it's annoying that you're stuck with them once you use them and only eventually realise you no longer need them!4 votes -

Granular Restrictions by Roles to only show the data created by the user to that user
If administrator allow Create Expense or View Expense. all user see all expenses of company.
But Give User Right to create expense but not see company all expenses.This is a very important feature. For example, salary goes into expenses and if we give a sales manager access to expenses to record his daily expenses, he will be able to see everyone's salaries, which makes it non-practical.
Ideally, there has to be a permission level, whereby sales guys can create, view, update only the expenses that they have created.

When I itemise expenses, I would like to be able to allocate each line to a different client... i.e. if I buy 5 items in one go for 5 different clients then I want to itemise that expense and then bill each client for their line

Zoho docs integration to allow customers to upload files
I have the need to share (send & receive documents) beyond just an estimate/invoice through the client portal. If it just had a link for the customer to access a shared read/read-write folder that would work too. But it would have to have the ability to create a folder and set permissions from the backend. This is so I can use one place to communicate documents with the customer related to their account, it would be preferred over having to also send them a docs folder invite separately.

currently when you convert a quote you to a project you cant add 1/2 hours into budget project hours.

Allow companies to edit the credit card autocharge authorization statement.
To complete a payment, it is unnecessary to check the authorization box. Yet, many customers check the box because it seems required.
Many customers do not read the entire statement and the word "automatically" is at the other end of the screen from the checkbox, thus never being read.
