Issue With PLANS
We are a wellness firm with an average of 300 customers per day. I found the Zoho Subscription billing platform easy and wanted to go with it until I realized it has a major drawback based on the business model we have. Majority of the firms in the industry we are in provide customers with an initial FREE trial period to try the product, but there certainly is ONLY a Shipping & Handling fee we charge to customers immediately while they sign up. Once they complete their trial period, they are auto-billed for the actual cost of product. But in Zoho Subscription platform, I see that after creating the PLAN, the set-up fee (which literally in our case is the only initial Shipping fee we charge customers for providing the trial period) gets charged ALONG with the actual cost of the product all at the same time i.e. AFTER the trial is over. It has to be the opposite where we are able to provide free trial period but be able to collect the one-time shipping fee initially and then bill the actual product price after 30 days! We just wish this feature was available with Zoho and we would have recommended this to our peers in the industry too! Thanks. Good Customer Support though!
