  1. seperate bills & Expenses in reports sections. like it is separated in Users & Roles. a no access user to expenses still can see it inreport

    in Roles, it is great to allow us to separate the access between the bills & the expenses. but surprisingly still the user can see the expenses registered in the bills reports!!

  3. Client Portal Payment message customization

    Please allow us to change the "ou can pay either by credit card or using your PayPal Business account." message in the client portal when using Paypal Standard. A lot of our customers are getting confused and think they need to have a business account in order to pay.

  4. Ledger View Options

    There must be an option to open any account and view the transactions in it. And that too one can access even if one were to be in the middle of any screen.
    I want to check a particular expense account in Trial Balance, I have no other option except to scroll down a long list and find them. Your search option on the top doesn't provide the assistance.

    I just wanted to check for service tax account. zoho not able to filter and bring it up. Takes a lot of time to do ledger review.

  5. Why can't we delete or post the original accounts into subaccounts? This is driving my crazy

    I want to be able to delete all accounts even the original ones that are included in the chart of accounts by default. I also want to be able to put all accounts into subaccounts. Is anyone else annoyed by this?

  8. Allow other messaging services to be used (like WhatsApp) to send messages to a client from inside the mobile app.

    When you open a contact card on the mobile app, it is possible to call and message them among other things. It would be great if one can choose your default messaging app, like WhatsApp. Possible?

  9. Calculation of due taxes (VAT and service TAX)

    Currently we are not able to get the reports which to know about due tax to be paid. E.g. in case of service tax, the report should calculate due tax by reducing the service tax which we have paid from the one which we have received.

  10. Bill entry could be easier.

    When entering bills you shouldn't have to go into each item to make it billable and link it to a contact. It should be simpler. Maybe add a check box at the end of each item or a check all box. At the top you should give the option to pick the contact to link the bill to. This would streamline the entry.

  11. When viewing Sales/Invoices list, would be useful to add column/s. Specifically title description of the opportunity/job.

  12. Track Start and Stop Times on Timesheets and Reports

    I'm mostly satisfied with Zoho Books even though I find the timesheet interface somewhat confusing. But there are a couple of things that keep me looking around at other software.

    First: Time entry notes don’t accumulate and generate into the invoice per task, but per entry. I just cannot have dozens of task entries on my invoices.

    My current workaround is to export a timesheet details report into excel, hunt and peck for the notes per task entry, then cut and paste them one by one into the fields on the invoice. Big time suck. I don’t even see why…

  14. Goods received Note

    hi,
    many a times we have to receive defective material from our customers for and then later either deliver a new product or issue a credit note . A Goods recieved note which can be converted into a credit note or a delivery note will help a lot in this scneario.

  16. Add custom fields in invoice/quote/purchase order templates in Books

    Allow custom fields and customisation of invoices so we can use fields in invoice such as units supplied (eg. some items are sold LM some as sold as roll) Also, might want to change the layout of columns around but cant do at the moment.

  17. Inactive Client

    If any client do not make payment within specific time period, system should make them inactive so any staff can not accept their new orders.

    And, there must a report of Inactive Clients in system so all user can see which clients are inactive and follow up with them for payment.

    Documents should interlink each other starting from quote generation to payment Historical i.e. quote with ref. no. , revised quote, Sales or Service Order (have to upload soft copy) with dispatch schedule, bill of materials and generation of invoice (Facility for generation of proforma invoice) and after payment receipt with taxation details i.e. clear order process with each document link with other

  19. When matching/manually entering customer part payment, I see option to Pay in full which nicely

    When matching/manually entering customer part payment, I see option to Pay in full which nicely takes full invoice value as payment received but it should also ensure that amount entered is not more than the payment received!! It gives an error later that payment entered is more than the payment recieved an then forces us to manually calculate the difference!!

    It can be much nicer if automatically enters:
    full invoice value or
    amount of payment left to be adjusted
    (whichever is more)!!

  20. Ability to affect watchlist on dashboard

    It would be cool to have the ability to show all projects with unbilled hours onto the dashboard. This would provide a way to easily get an idea of clients who have used a lot of hours in a period vs. those who have not. Plus, give a way to make sure someone isn't getting totally overextended.
