Have chapters in estimates and invoices

When you have long estimate, it is important to divide it in chapters for the customer. An estimate with 30 position without chaptering is very difficult to understand for the end customers. With chapter, and subtotal per chapter, it is easy to understand estimate from construction for instance.

Hi all, 


For categorising the items in the transaction, we have the option to add Item Headers in the Estimates, Invoices and Recurring Invoices. Create Invoice > Add Item Header(below the item table)
However, we do not have immediate plans to implement the subtotal under each header section.

    I agree this is a must for any field that requires long estimates. In construction it's a must to categorize items this way:

    Lighting

    -item
    -item

    Lighting subtotal: $1219

    Demolition

    -item
    -item

    Demo subtotal: $192

    Please take this as a priority updates for all the user. Currently we are using Scoro, and they did do it for me. For my new company setup, i prefer zoho due to scoro dont have CRM system. I believe with this updates, zoho will gain a lot of user. Thanks.

    To add header, and add sub item ( Lets say, to construct a wall, sub-item is upgrade wall to what material), this is very useful for some industry with long quotation. Thanks

    YES PLEASE!!! I need categories in my invoices. Also, I agree with having the possibility of a category AFTER the grand total for options/upselling opportunities.

    Yes- I would love to add my own category names to these chapters and have each subtotaled before the grand total at the end of the invoice or estimate. I would also like to be able to add a subcategory at the end of the grand total to show "options" for upselling opportunities.

    We are looking for this for a long time! We love Zoho Books but we need chapters for our Estimates and Invoices!

    Yes I agree and our customers ask about this feature. We are IT company and in our quotes we have different sections like cabling, telephone system, Camera, software,... especially in our projects sometimes we have more 100 items.
