It would be great to be able to add Notes/Description to each Budget amount so we can remember the assumptions made to come up with that budget figure.

Thank you very much for implementing the budgets in Books, it really was very necessary.

However, there is one thing that does not work properly.We can make a budget based on a label, but when we then compare with the actual data, the expenses of that label do not come out, but all the expenses that exist, have any label that they have.

If it is not listed already, just like you can see income and expense by fiscal year on the Dashboard, you should be able to forward as well. Being able to see a graph for instance, allowing you to see expected income and expenses looking forward one, two, three months, or even twelve months. If you have something that looks backwards at income and expenses, it really shouldn't be such a difficult undertaking to pull information looking forward.

Agreed, this is deal killer. This and the lack of payroll is why Books is subpar to the competition and is not currently an option for us. We are still using QB but would like to transition as soon as Books is ready for prime time. This is not currently accounting software as it does not have basic accounting functionality included.

There is a massive difference between budgeting your expenditure and budgeting your sales. Yes we use CRM for budgeting sales. But we need to track our expenses on the same platform where we record them! Not for now seems not the proper answer to a request for a very essential feature to Books app. This is a deal killer for most companies.

We have been evaluating ZOHO One and are incredibly impressed overall with the apps across the board. Most everything so far we have judged to be in the "brilliant" category. However, the lack of budgeting and US payroll features in Zoho Books is shocking and will probably be the deal killer for us. This is a major weakness and obstacle making the jump. I hope these features are added soon, as we are loving everything else so far.

I think Zoho wants you to use their CRM, Projects, and Analytics products for budgeting and forecasting. These functions really are planning tools which need to originate from sales and management departments. Books is just the tool to track the ins and outs of your after-the-fact budgeting choices.

I have my own business, which brings me a good profit. But all the same, money is very quickly spent on the purchase of new products for business. And I brought for myself such a tactic: money must be planned. It helps to save on something, to win on something. I just write down in my notebook https://onplanners.com/templates/budget-planner what I need to buy, how much to spend on it and what can I save on. So I get a plus!)

Why is this flagged NOT FOR NOW? There should be an official response at the top of the suggestion. I scrolled through several pages of responses trying to see a Zoho Response. Zoho Books team, this makes you all look very disorganized and unprofessional. You chose to setup uservoice for customer suggestions, so USE it. Your employees need to respond to customer comments here. (especially when a highly voted feature request is marked "not for now") smdh

Quick books has it but is at the highest tier package which is too much for our business right not. So her to deal with creating Projects for each month and manually budgeting for right now
