If it is not listed already, just like you can see income and expense by fiscal year on the Dashboard, you should be able to forward as well. Being able to see a graph for instance, allowing you to see expected income and expenses looking forward one, two, three months, or even twelve months. If you have something that looks backwards at income and expenses, it really shouldn't be such a difficult undertaking to pull information looking forward.

Agreed, this is deal killer. This and the lack of payroll is why Books is subpar to the competition and is not currently an option for us. We are still using QB but would like to transition as soon as Books is ready for prime time. This is not currently accounting software as it does not have basic accounting functionality included.

There is a massive difference between budgeting your expenditure and budgeting your sales. Yes we use CRM for budgeting sales. But we need to track our expenses on the same platform where we record them! Not for now seems not the proper answer to a request for a very essential feature to Books app. This is a deal killer for most companies.

We have been evaluating ZOHO One and are incredibly impressed overall with the apps across the board. Most everything so far we have judged to be in the "brilliant" category. However, the lack of budgeting and US payroll features in Zoho Books is shocking and will probably be the deal killer for us. This is a major weakness and obstacle making the jump. I hope these features are added soon, as we are loving everything else so far.

I think Zoho wants you to use their CRM, Projects, and Analytics products for budgeting and forecasting. These functions really are planning tools which need to originate from sales and management departments. Books is just the tool to track the ins and outs of your after-the-fact budgeting choices.

I have my own business, which brings me a good profit. But all the same, money is very quickly spent on the purchase of new products for business. Zoho Books team, this makes you all look very disorganized and unprofessional. You chose to setup uservoice for customer suggestions, so USE it. We need to manage the budget. I have been using Zoho for many years and it has been a pending topic. My business is growing and I will be forced to leave Zoho soon or later if we do not have this feature.

Yes budgeting is very important and management will not approve to move to Zoho Books

It has been YEARS and Zoho are still utterly silent on this request. Go through the forums, they have lost countless customers because of their utter refusal to implement something that their customer base is screaming out for. A feature that quite literally, all their competitors offer as standard. Its getting to the point of bring ludicrous now.

Yes, adding budgeting so budgets can be entered and then actual results compared to the budget would be EXTREMELY valuable.

Really interested in Zoho Books but want the Budgeting feature added to the features. It’s a “must have.” As many requests as there have been, I am not understanding why this isn’t being made a priority, especially since it’s a natural fit for Zoho Books. The amount of business being lost to competitors over the absence of this one feature does not make good business sense.
