Addition of units measurements for payments in projects and keeping a track
In the project section, can payment terms not be in units of Kgs of job done, as some contracts might be paid in kgs of items prepared for the client. it could spill over to estimates too.

Add feature of cancelling service related sales order items which are not to be billed, rather than amending the order.
The feature of cancelling service order item can help in closing the order. Currently we have to maintain excel sheets to check which orders are completely billed and which are partially billed or not billed.

Ability to apply redeemable points, gift vouchers, discount voucher, coupon codes, promo codes, referral codes
With options of marketing and advertisement through so many channels we need to issue various discount coupons, promo codes, referral codes and so on. If there is an option to included these codes for discounting it would be great. Also the option to add redeemable points on purchase bill which can be reimbursed later as adjustments in the bill, it will be nice

Ability to initiate bill payments from Zoho to my bank for online bill payment
Currently paying bills with "online bill pay" through my bank website so I don't have to manually print and mails checks to vendors. Quickbooks allows you to initiate these payments through Quickbooks and then sends it to the bank for online payment. So instead of waiting for the payment to go through and then recording it, the advantage of initiating the payment through Zoho allows the future payment to get pre-recorded and can be used for cash flow projections.

Authorize.Net Emulator or API Configuration
Several Merchant Service Companies in the US have their own Credit Card API's or use an Authorize.net Emulator. Having the ability to change the Post URL would be amazing!!

Integrate with AutoEntry
An integration with AutoEntry would be very welcomed as we would be able to scan purchases and sales invoices in, as well as expenses reports, suppliers and bank statements.
AutoEntry uses OCR (optical character recognition) to pick information from PDF or pictures such as invoice date, net, gross and tax amount, supplier or customer, it is a fantastic system which learns and populates fields on invoices, making bookkeeping and data entry much simple and quick. AutoEntry already integrates with a large number of accounting packages (Sage, Quickbooks i.e.)

Option to create custom Account Type in Zoho Books
There should be an option to add custom Account Type in Zoho Books. There is no way that anyone would shift from Tally if there is no option to create custom Account Types.

Create a column for "attachment" which we can see in our invoice, sales order, or contact views. Will save a lot of time when doing tasks like entering bills or expenses, or looking things up. Just so we can see in the view if there is an attachment so we don't have to open each transaction to see.

Allow Clients to view Sales Orders in their Client Portal
Currently when a customer logs in through their client portal, they can see Estimates and Invoices. In my business, many clients keep asking about their orders and when they will complete, in my sales orders, we always update the "Expected Shipment Date" as the estimated completion date, but they cannot see their sales orders. Why not allow them to see their open sales orders as well as the other stuff?

Convert Packing List into Invoice
We would prefer to invoice based of the packing list instead of the sales order. If there was a way to convert the packing list direct to the invoice with same number of quantity and shipping address it would be helpful.

Integrate the client portal of Zoho Books & the Customer portal of Zoho Creator. It'd give to the customer ONLY ONE platform to manage everything.

multiple contacts in portal and automated emails to the right contact
Currently Books supports multiple contacts to be assigned to the portal access. Estimates, Invoices etc can be made available by manually selecting the right subset of contacts. However, by default, the name (which is full name, not just first name - please fix this) is always of the main contact in the email body.
Second, the automated reminders should go directly to the person associated in the portal with the invoice, not the main contact. In particular dealing with larger organisations, it is imperative the invoice lands at the desk of the right person, or payment is delayed.0 votes -

sorting options for catagorizing charges
I think it would help to have sorting options besides date for sorting bank and CC card charges, especially helpful for setting up the account

be abble to attach a document to an invoice inside of CRM integration without going into books to attach
books allows you to attach a doc to the invoice to be seen by the customer in there portal...which we like. but with CRM integration you can create the invoice etc...but then have to go into books to attach the doc...can you make it so you can attach inside the crm integration and flow through books and into the portal?
