Allow to feed multiple Purchase items while adding new sale item
There could be multiple materials required to be purchased in order to make a Sale item. While adding a new Sale item, there should be a provision to add multiple purchase materials & purchase cost along with item description which will correspond to that particular sale item. Same purchase material should also be able to be applied to another sale item.

Stock Journal
I am a manufacturer. Many different components are utilised to make one finished products. Tally has a feature called as Stock journal, wherein several components are clubbed to together for one finished product.
example : 1 cabinet, 1 pair of hands, 1 glass,1 movement,2 batteries, etc ( all procured from different suppliers) is converted into ONE WALL CLOCK.4 votes -
Tiered Pricing In Addition to Volume Pricing
Its great that we now have volume pricing but this does not fit our business pricing model. We need tiered Pricing as we sell SAAS products:
Tiered Pricing Example:
Product A:
1-5000 units (Tier 1) $0.50
5001-1500 units (Tier 2) $0.45
15000-30000 units (Tier 3) $0.43
A customer purchases 16,000 units of Product.With Tiered pricing the calculation would be:
First 5000 units (Tier 1) @ $0.50 = $2,500
Next 10000 units (Tier 2) @0.45 = $4,500
Next 1000 units (Tier 3) @0.43 = $430
Total = $7430.00(Note: In contrast, with simple volume pricing, the calculation would be

Composite Item or Bundle Item, Kitting
Item buy/sell individually as usual but when multiple item will form a bundle or combinations of multiple items then how do we manage in Zoho Books ? for example I am a shop owner, selling Tea, Biscuits & Snacks. If i want to form a Bundle item namely Tea Combo which will consist of Tea, Biscuit 2 types, sugar & Milk. and that too in a different price as a offer not as in all item price, also that should be refelect in inventory individually.

When we add items on invoices, the items should come even if we type its middle name. This make easy to add items which we search for.

Export items by category and/or item search
We desperately need the ability to export any item at any time without exporting the entire list of items. In other words, we need to be able to isolate the item exported by category sometimes and other times by search results.
For example, if I search blower pulley...then the only items that should come up to be exported are blower pulleys. This will allow me to more quickly reset pricing and/or shift information without having to extrapolate out of a master spreadsheet.

Allow $0 price for a pricelist item
The pricelist does not differentiate between $0 and null. In some cases may need to include an item at a zero charge on an estimate/invoice.
When entering a $0 price, this is automatically wiped and set to null. Null and zero are not the same.
Currrently you need to remember and override this manually.

Items Prices linked to an Index
I sell items that have a cost/purchase/sell price attached to an Index. For example Aluminum, Zinc, Copper...
The Index at the London Metal Exchange (LME) for these materials changes intraday but for simplicity, I only need update my prices once a month.
If I could store the value of LME for Aluminum, Copper or Zinc in a single field and define that this or that Item is linked to that field, then I can drastically simplify the updating of prices.
For example: Item1 this month would be 'ALUMINUM LME' ($2) + Item purchase price ($3) = $5. Next month LME…1 vote -

I have 800 items in my warehouse. Every item has different discount function.Item (A)
basic rate 80
if customer buys 1 to 3 then I will apply 2% discount.
if customer buys 3 to12 then i will apply 5% discount

We are a printing company. We print on paper, it can be single side or double side. The item is the same paper but price varies from single side or doubleside. Currently we can't track stock, as we have to give 2different items but actually its the same item. We can't also use priceless as in one bill there could be 2 single side and 4 double side items. If we give price list all of it gets changed. We want a solution where we can club multiple items into a single inventory source.

Allow inventory tracking on purchased items
Presently all items created are listed if the sales check box is selected which provide the inventory and stock level. If the purchased check box is checked the item is not listed in the available items for sale which is useful if the item is not for resale but assemble. But you can not track the stock, which give a false business valuation
If the purchased option is check and the sales in not check there is no inventory option.
If we could have track the purchased items we can produce a simple manual assemble function, using the stock adjustment…

Editable Item Groups/Assemblies
We would love to be able to create groups of items (or assemblies) that we can actually view and edit while creating an estimate or invoice. Ideally this would include the ability to change the quantity and price for each line item in the group AND be able to hide the line item breakdown from the client.
For example, the client would see "Total Travel Expenses" and a price. While creating the estimate/invoice, we would see and be able to edit the mileage, meals, and lodging line items that comprise the total travel expense assembly/group.

books customer portal can show items
from CRM customer portal , it can show products to customer
Do I need to provide 2 portals to the same customer
CRM portal from products, BOOKS portal from the transaction
In this case, the user experience is poor
