Detect if clients open emails OR specify SMTP sending server in account
It would be really usefull to know if the client has receive the invoice, if he opened it, etc.
Otherwise if we could specify in our settings, the smtp server to use to send the emails (ex.: Mandrill).
Dear customers,
Zoho Invoice allows you to track the emails sent from our application and check when the customer has opened it.
All you have to do is enable ‘Email insights’ for your organization. We shall take care of the rest :)
Kindly go through this page to know how to do this.

Customising SMTP is surely needed

Yes, does help client accountability when I can let them know they did in fact receive and/or view invoice. Also could send reminder prior to Due Date if showing as Unread.

This feature was really helpful when I used the free Joist invoicing app, as I received a notification each time a client opened their emailed invoice. I would really like to see that feature implemented on Zoho asap.

Invoices are landing up in SPAM for the customers. Need support for our own SMTP server as most clients have saved our email address in their contact list, thus reducing chances of being marked as Spam.

Indeed, it should be possible to use our own SMTP server.

Agree as some invoices can be filtered into spam and/or will know if client is being disingenuous if they deny receiving the email, especially with overdue invoices. Invoice2gohas this feature.
