  1. sub total

    When creating an Estimate, it would be really helpful to add sections with sub totals.
    Our Estimates are often presented based on rooms/areas. Each area has a number of items contained within it. Our clients want to be able to see their estimates presented in 'sections'.

    1) Perhaps introduce 'section header rows'. Which are simply text labels to better present/group items on an estimate.
    2) Add sub totals for every section, with the option to display a cost summary at the bottom, listing each section total and a grand total.

  2. MTD VAT Groups - Uploading Adjustments so not manual

    In the UK we can have VAT groups where several companies share the same VAT number and one company is nominated to collect the VAT figures and submit a combined return.

    When MTD was implemented in Oct 2019 there was an allowance for VAT groups that meant although all the companies had to keep electronic records and the return had to be electronically submitted the calculation for combining the returns could still be manual.

    From April 2020 this calculation to combine the return must be automated i.e. no manual typing and no copy and pasting.

  3. Generate business letter

    My organisation and any business organisation for that matter has to write letters/applications to various stakeholders regarding different subjects. Just like we can raise a purchase/sale order having unique autogenerated ref no. with in Zoho books it is imperative that in the same way option for writing letters is also provided. It would be easy to send it to various stakeholders from the same platform.

  4. and shipment tracking info to customer portal

    if invoice and/or portal simply would show the tracking information for each order or invoice then customer can view and track themselves anytime they have question about "where is my order" - which is like ALL THE TIME

  5. Assign Customer to multiple users

    A great feature would be to add the ability to Assign more than one user to a Customer or allow a user to share a customer with another user. This would help when we have Sales Persons that we only want to see the Customers assigned to them. We see many situation where multiple sales persons deal with a Customer. The only way to give them access now to Customers not owned by them is to set them up as an admin.

  6. Add Unbilled Expenses to Recurring Invoices

    I almost fell over when I realized this is not in the options. We can set all sorts of ways to have recurring invoices configured but the expenses cannot be added to them. You cannot even manually add them until the invoice is generated and by then the invoice was sent to the client. How did the development team not add this to the options. How has this not been suggested already?

  7. Additional permissions for estimates

    Add additional permissions for estimates which would restrict an estimator to only be able to see estimates they created/their department creates or that they are given access to. This is currently not possible and different parts of our business are segregated, we do not want all estimators seeing every single job in the business.

  8. Price list markup column per line item

    Add a column in estimates and invoices that will allow for markup to be added for each line item individually.
    The markup column is not to show in printed form.

  9. Customize client portal

    Not all organizations using books work in the same type of niche or business, so it would be nice to be able to edit the portal menu names/sections/tittles and even be able to select what sections the client can see. This way you can adapt the portal to better fit your type of business

  10. Have a section on the Dashboard for Bill Approvals Pending

    We depend on Books to streamline the approval process for outstanding bills. It would be nice to have the Dashboard show how many bills are waiting for approval and then link to that section.

  11. Allow Zoho Books Estimates to be merged fields in Zoho writer

    We would like to use Writer to generate visually stunning proposals, please allow for Zoho Books to be an option in the Merged Fields so that we can merge an estimate into a writer doc

  12. Timesheets Cloning or templates

    My weeks are around 75% the same from one week to the next. It would therefore be very helpful to be able to create a weekly time log template or clone the prior week and roll it over to the next week, then adjust the entries that are different. The current process of having to re-enter the weekly timesheet over and over is a disincentive for my team to actually fill it out, which is a nuisance.

  14. Remove Quantity details from invoice

  15. Reporting tags for expenses

    When running expense reports it would be very useful to be able to attach reporting tags to expenses so that a filter can be applied for expenses that only match that tag. Currently there is no way to filter a set of expenses based on a tag (or something similar) attached to certain expenses.

  16. Client Portal Profile Picture or Logo

    Need to have this customization after all, it ia the year 2020. We need the ability to add a custom image or logo for the client's profile in the client portal. Possibly we could add their logo,or the customer can add one or change it from the one we chose.It is a bit misleading as you try to click on the profile icon by the company name. This should take you to a place to add a picture of your choice.

  17. Add PR (Puerto Rico) as a State

    PR (Puerto Rico), should be on the states list. Right now is considered an independent country and that creates a conflict on the USPS, UPS, DHL and Fedex shipping labels.

  18. GST TDS

    GST TDS and TCS needs to be implemented in the Zoho when my clients/customers deduct GST TDS. This is extremely important for businesses supplying goods/services to Government entities or through E-Commerce.

  20. inventory items & item bundles

    We should be able to bundle items.

    So I have a service ("Service A") that we offer our clients that requires items 1, 2, 3.

    It would be nice to be able to add them to a "bundled line item"
    So The line item to the customer is "Service A" $100 (or whatever) but it takes one each of item 1, 2, 3 out of inventory on the back side.

    So for instance if its a lawn care company "planting a tree" might be the service but the inventory items might be 1 tree, 2 bags of potting soil, 2…
