  1. Limiting accounts that you can use on accounts payable/receivable.

    Zoho Books shouldn't limit accounts we can use on any modules: accounts receivable/payable. There are cases where we need all the accounts. I understand that some of these accounts don't show due to their type/category of accounts, but because of this, there are times when I am obligated to make reclassifying journal entries on the grand ledger.

  4. Notify the user if bank automatic syncing has been broken

    My bank feed auto-sync was broken months ago -still not sure how as I didn't change any of my login/authorization info- and did not realize it. Now I have to import and manually enter every transaction since the point it was broken.
    I understand that broken feeds happen and sometimes aren't the fault of Zoho. But, at the very least an email notification that a feed has been broken for 48 hrs or so could save people a whole heap of trouble later on.

  6. Sorting of Custom fields While creating new custom view in Customers / Invoices / Expenses etc

    1.While creating new custom view in Customers / Invoices / Expenses etc in the process of defining new criteria , Sorting of Custom fields (ie. order by ) option is not available at present . The same may be made available at least for few custom field. , 2. While creating custom field the unique feature ( avoid the entry of same value in the field ) is to be made available at least for 1 or 2 custom fields.

  7. to draw cheque multiple bank account

    We need urgently : all canadian and US company (also in europe) have to be able to draw cheque in other currency. Easy to understand we are at the border and a great part of business has to deal with at least two currency.
    I ref. to another demand, I think Zoho should improve their capacity for international transaction.

  8. Filter Transactions for Customer Statement

    Please allow us to decide which transactions (tag, specific account, etc) show up on customer statements. Or allow each transaction an option when categorizing to "Show on customer statement" or not.

  9. Change Paypal icon next to "Payment Options"

    Regarding of how many payment gateways you have activated, only the Paypal logo shows next to the "Payment Options" line in the invoices footer.
    This is quite confusing because you would expect that by clicking a Paypal button a Paypal page will pop up. Instead, this links to a Zoho portal page, and, in there, you can choose to pay that invoice.
    Maybe using a more generic online payment icon would fix this.

    When running charges from Stripe, we should see the Address Verification results to see if there is any risk with that customer (when they don't match).

  12. Automatic Prepaid Transactions & Reconciliation

    What business does not have to deal with prepaid expenses? Vendors like insurance companies, leasing/licensing companies, & service companies commonly bill in quarterly, semiannual, and annual increments using invoice dates prior to the periods covered. It is a pain to divide the amounts to the periods they apply which usually leads me to record the entire expense in the same period as the invoice.

    The vendor bill creation screen could utilize a special "Prepaid" classification that requests the period start and length for the prepaid expense. The bill will then be debited to the designated "Prepaid" asset account in the…

  13. Automatic or Manual Accrual of Vendor Invoices to Proper Period

    The whole point of the accrual system is to match income with expenses. A lot of vendors will use an invoice date that is in a period before or after the actual period the expense should be recorded.
    Utilities are worse and usually use the generation date as the invoice date which is usually after the period of the service.

    On the vendor bill screen, a simple "Accrue" checkbox with the corresponding "month to post" should suffice. The bill will then be debited against the expense just like any other bill but the user will have the option to accrue…

  14. 0 in amount or enter notes

    While creating estimate we add some items for the customer to bring by themselves so is required to show the amount by 0 or show notes in the amount as (By Customer) in order to don't increases the total amount of the estimate. Please note the rate and Qty fields should have values.

  15. Export customer statement of account as .xls file in client portal

    Most of our customer request their account statements as a .csv or .xls files to easier compare it to their records.
    Would be great if they could download it from their client portal directly instead of having to reach out all the time.

  16. can we add the customer's po# field as an option on this screen?

    Under the customer, Sales tabs. When you are looking at the date, invoice, reference # and amount. It would be so nice to have an option to add a column for their po#

  17. Discount per item from vendors

    Allowing each stock item to be discounted on the bill - currently you get to discount the whole bill but then you only get the option to put it to an expense so you Profit and Loss it completely out when it needs to go against the stock item as the discount applies to each item or at least goes against the inventory asset account.

  18. it would be nice to have the " Display attachment(s) in client portal and emails" defaulted to yes.

    When attaching files to invoices, the option to " Display attachment(s) in client portal and emails" is defaulted to "Not too send" and you have to manually (and every time) check it.

    My business requires to add attachments regularly and its easy to miss the check box. My employees have been complaining and my clients sometimes miss those attachments. This may not be the most pressing thing to fix, but i imagine it would be very simple.

    Bonus points to this idea:
    1) somewhere in the settings to toggle this to a default yes or no

  19. Project based on assign the total hours to be billed

    In Zoho Books, I need to assign the total hours to be billed for the project.
    In my case, I need to assign 20 hours (for example) for a project and bill the customer every monthly when the last day is reached. In addiction it is important to accumulate the hours when the customer will not use the hours either by request or support for instance for the next month.

  20. Show account affected in banking transactions

    Right now you can see the Date, Reference#, Type, Status, Deposits, Withdrawals, and Running Balance columns for all transactions.

    I'd like to see the ability to add an additional column - "Account" or "Account Affected"
