I am amazed this feature doesn't yet exist.
I should be able to look at my inventory and see a profit number and a calculator to make adjustments based on mark up required.

Please Zoho add this feature for your product. You told me at the Zoholics that it could be done.....i notice that it is now over 3 years since it was first suggested.

To add to this excellent feature you should be able to have an approval process for when the margin is below a certain %

This is a critical feature for us in quoting remodel work.We adjust items markups differently to reach a desired margin on the entire estimate. All the information is there within the item when you create it. At the very least just have a box at the bottom of the estimate to toggle between a dollar amount of mark up on the estimate, a percentage markup or a margin? If they had this I would stay but if not i have to look elsewhere or stay with quickbooks desktop wich I hate! PLEASE GET THIS DONE!!!!

A fundamental requirement of any business is to understand the profit/margin on a business transaction.

Come on Zoho, what is the point of a "user voice" if you are not going to respond.
People are walking away from your product because there is no response.

When is this feature going to be available? This is a basic but important for accounting software to provide the option to tell us profitability by item or by customer. Any response from Zoho team?

Is this going to happen? As mentioned earlier it's a very valuable feature (that many systems / CRM / Book-keeping provide)

This should be a standard and should also be visible within CRM when creating Estimates so that the margin shows and changing when changing discount levels

to be able to see profit and profit margin by invoice and by invoice line items is a key requirement for my business. please add this feature.

This would be nice but we've just built a custom pricing integration in Crm to handle this from a custom module called RFQ where we can price and convert to either an estimate to our customers or a po tour vendor.

This is a basic for accounting software, to tell us profitability by item or by customer, etc. Why can't we do this already?

not only on estimates but also on salesorder. (you can calculate this to the amount if invoicing minus amount of purchasing) in this way you can see the profit you made on a deal. you can also show how many profit a sales person made.

Yes this is a great feature which woukd become handy as you prepare a quote.

This is a critical requirement I think for every business. No matter what it is being sold, there is always a cost, whether it is a product being sold at a markup, or an internal burden rate of labor, material, or utilities required to make a product. there is always a burden cost to do business, and not being able to track internal burden costs and true profit is making zoho invoice very cumbersome to use for me. Otherwise a great product! please add this feature, VERY important
