This has been on the priority list for 2 years. come on Zoho.... P&L for projects... how hard can it be?

We sell products to customers for different projects it is essential we know the profitability of each project. Surely this is a basic feature of all professional account software systems? We have ZOHO CRM and really like it and want more complete integration. Not having this will stop us migrating to ZB and move to MS Dynamics for finance & CRM. I would appreciate some feedback as to where the issue is at and and the timeline on the solution.

We are a project services company and have multiple projects for one client. We need to do project specific invoicing and also need to track project specific cashflows... your competitors do have this feature...

We have had 2 clients in one month that have requested this feature. We have lost their potential business because Zoho Books is unable to do this.

In The Projects report and Work Sheet in know related with invoice and expenses, why dont you show a profit project report if you already got all stuff together? This will be greatest!

We would like to group supplier invoices (or our POs to them) + freight invoices (or our POs to them) with our invoice on each project.

A project could also be by product type, or alternatively treat each client as a project, so that we can see the profit per client and/or per product.

We have a business which owns multiple rental properties. Each one is set up as a project in Zoho books. IRS Tax filing requires each residential rental property be broken out individually on a separate tax form (IRS Form 8825) by income and expense categories. Using Quickbooks, we used classifications and ran the P/L statement for each property which worked perfectly. Without a report it's going to be a tedious task to complete this form and being confident it's correct. This feature would greatly help in that effort, as well as give us an indicator of profit/loss by each property which is great information to know! Thank you

We are very happy using the tagging method for this, however, now that we can add customer and projects into invoices and bills, please add the filtering for this in the P&L report section--voila then we are good to go!
One nitter: Can you also add the customer projects to the journal entries? We can pull down customer but not the projects. Using tags for now but will need this also included in our P&L reporting.

Report tagging still is the best solution right now especially until we can also run P&Ls that include journal entries towards a project (only customer pulls down right now). So happy with the progress that has been made, thank you!

Im on a trial version, and Profit by projects will surely make my financial reporting easier. i will surely subscribed if ZOHO has a feature that cater profit report by projects.

Soooo close, we can now add client & active project in Vendor Bills put the P&L report does not currently allow those fields for filtering. Almost there!

We need to track profit by customer/project for our business. Zoho is so close - just need to add the Account/Project to Purchase Orders and Bills. Then reports can be run on a Per Account or per Project basis.

ZOHO expenses already does this - just add the functionality to the Bills.

For instance, PO's UPS expenses, and other direct expenses are attributed directly to a discrete project. We need to monitor the project profitability so we can understand our gross margin and make any adjustments as necessary.

We do 1000's of projects per year - so automating this reporting is critical.

We look forward to your favorable decision to add this functionality.
