I want a report that totals expenditure on a project
I can see how much money I have invoiced on a project but I can not see how much money has been spent. This is basic project budget tracking and should be a feature on the software.
Not adding this will make me move my accounts elsewhere.
We now have a report to view the expenses of a particular project.
You can go to Reports → Expenses by project.

It will also be really helpful to be able to see the budget as such, my budgets are type hours per task, but I cannot see a total at all :(

YES, project hours AND Expenses need to be tracked against a TOTAL budget.
Project budget can consist of multiple items: hours and expenses for a TOTAL budget and track as such. -

The totals for invoice and bills for a particular project should be available to help us track the project profit or loss at a glance in timesheet..
