Additional permissions for estimates
Add additional permissions for estimates which would restrict an estimator to only be able to see estimates they created/their department creates or that they are given access to. This is currently not possible and different parts of our business are segregated, we do not want all estimators seeing every single job in the business.

Estimates & Invoices - SORT EMAIL option
For Estimate & Invoices in Books, when finalizing an invoice or estimate and preparing to email to a customer the email addresses are all grouped at the bottom of the page, and not sortable. This is a b ig inconvenience when the customer has multiple contacts, as one has to scan the big jumble. The current display shows contact emails from left to right, top to bottom, in order the contact was entered into the zoho. It would be a very nice feature to be able to sort this as a list, alphabetically by first / last name.

Custom Templates In Estimates need to be previewable
Now that templates are customizable, I need to be able to preview my new estimate in Books. Without this ability, I have to create the entire quote, save it, download it as a PDF, then view it. Please make customized templates previewable.

sub total
When creating an Estimate, it would be really helpful to add sections with sub totals.
Our Estimates are often presented based on rooms/areas. Each area has a number of items contained within it. Our clients want to be able to see their estimates presented in 'sections'.1) Perhaps introduce 'section header rows'. Which are simply text labels to better present/group items on an estimate.
2) Add sub totals for every section, with the option to display a cost summary at the bottom, listing each section total and a grand total.6 votes -

Sequential headers in Estimate
I put two headers next to each other in several places in an Estimate. When I save the estimate, it deletes the first header without warning. Seriously annoying. I need these headers for formatting the Estimate in order to break the estimate up into sections with subtotals since Estimates do not support subtotaling for optional sections.

Add Discounted Unit Price
We need much more customization options for estimates and all templates. Example: I want to show discounted unit price, but I'm unable to create the field, create a formula or show a custom field on the template. I also need the option to show or hide when not populated. Showing discounted unit price is common in the US. Not showing this is awkward. Needs to be on estimate, order, invoice and PO.

Page number and total page number should be a placeholder in footers (Page N of N)
There is only one option for page numbers and it puts the number way to the right of the template. The footer should include a placeholder for page and total pages so we can display them. It would look like "Page 1 of 3".

Make customizing templates easier with more options
I'm a construction contractor. Arguably, the estimate (or Proposal, as I call it) is the most important part of my interaction with a potential customer. I've tried all of your standard options for customizing templates including the "Customize Template" option which I was given special access to but it's all very difficult even for a guy with a pretty strong technology background.
This is what I'd like to be able to do:
1) Have separate "Item & Description" blocks with a subtotal at the bottom of each. Ex: One block would describe the main job with a total and a…

Esign estimate/invoice without customer portal
I love the idea of being able to send estimates/invoices for eSigning. However, I feel the usefulness of this is limited because customers must first sign up for the client portal and navigate through the portal to find the estimate and eSign it. The portal lacks customizability and using it could be confusing for customers who just need to sign a document. I would suggest keeping this functionality intact for those who use the portal, but adding document eSigning for customers who don't have access to the portal. It would function much like the native Zoho Sign process. The customer…

Estimate "email to" contact name in email template
We can change which customer contact an estimate gets emailed to. Some things nice would be the ability to have the %CustomerName% place holder be the contact name on the email templates. Example: 'm emailing "X Company". The main primary contact for X Company is "Jan Doe". I want to send an estimate for x company to secondary contact "John Doe".
To make "John" so on the estimate email template, the text has to be manually changed. (Unless overlooking the needed place holder to make this happen.)

Estimate Reference on Sales Order and Invoice
When an estimate is converted the Estimate Reference is not included. The quote number is shown, I find myself having to enter a sales order to check what this is related to. If we have similar projects for the same customer I have to look up the estimate.
I would like for the Estimate Reference to be included in brackets alongside the the Estimate number, the same for the Invoice.

Recurring Estimates
There should an option of generating Recurring Estimates. The reason being that if I create recurring invoices every month, my GST liability automatically arises even if I haven't received the payment for the invoice. Moreover, my customer would claim the Input GST credit even without paying the amount. If I would raise an estimate first, then all the above problems will get resolved. I have 100 customers who pay me rent on monthly basis. So this turns out to be a huge tax libility. Kindly look into the matter and provide the option as soon as possible. (For your reference,…

The adjustments field on estimates should include multiplication
I want to use Zoho for my rentals company but cannot find a way to enter in a number of billable weeks. The adjustment field would be perfect if it allowed multiplication.

Clone mean has to be a pure Clone, software can not have it's own input in Cloning.
Clone has to be Clone, Software can not over ride the Clone settings figures and taxes.
i also suggest that, 1 x 0 = 0 and 0 x 1 = 0 means some time in an estimate we need to keep items zero but need to show if you are buying the prices will be x, you should permit the same.
At the same time some time we are giving some items as free of cost and we need to just adjust our qty in our stock so in Estimate we might write item 1 qty 1 and prices =…
