+3 votes from me on this feature. I think it is really important to be able to offer customers card payment as an option but at an extra fee, automatically without having to adjust or edit invoices.

Things are pretty slow at Zoho Invoices. The things I see in 'planned' category are there from months and nothing is changing as far these are concerned (not even being moved from planned to under development). Not sure other than planned status something is being done here.

The other feature requests are not even being looked into, leave aside ever going to the development stage. Quite frustrating. This way more and more people will move to other software rather than waiting for years.

credit card surcharge feature is available in CloudBooks. I switched to CloudBooks last week due to this feature.

This is quite standard practice here in Australia but very difficult to do with Zoho. At the moment I first have to send the invoice to the customer without online payment enabled and ask them to let me know if they want to pay by card etc - if so I manually add the surcharge onto the invoice and send again with online payment enabled. Quite a hassle! Would be fantastic if you could add a feature whereby the surcharge is added to the amount if the customer selects online payment.

Be really helpful to have the ability to have all payment gateway fees paid by the customer. This is standard here. Ideal would be an option to have all fees, flat and percentage paid by the customer and a field to add a custom added percentage to discourage use of certain payment gateways.

Yes, it makes sense. Lots of businesses do it, as long as it's made clear to them what is being charged before they pay.

This would be great. And it would be fantastic to coordinate this with the Stripe integration. Stripe has a post with the formula required to determine the surcharge that would result in the invoice amount being deposited net of fees:

I've built a spreadsheet to accomplish that calculation, but as of now, I have to ask my clients, "Would you prefer to pay by credit card?" If yes, I then go add the calculated surcharge in the adjustment field for my invoice before sending. It seems like it wouldn't be too difficult to have the system make the adjustment based on payment method.

When will this happen? Many of your competitors already have this capability.

If the client choose paypal. suggest to have an option to add X% on top of the invoice amount. This is to cover the Paypal transaction fees.

We work off low margins and want customers to pay 3% online payment fee of total invoice for online payment. Simple option for percentage fee of total invoice or flat fee. Later you could be more granular and have a different fee per gateway!

Yes, this feature would be so useful. I lose a lot of revenue because of credit and debit card fees. If it could automatically be added if the client chooses to pay in this manner that would be fantastic!
