Change Default Sorting
Please make an option to change the default sorting of expenses/invoices.
I would like to have my expenses sorted by date by default. Right now I have to change the sorting every time I visit the page, as we often get invoices that date back some time at the end of the month. For lookup – however – I need them in the order of the actual invoice date.
It is especially annoying, that when I click on the date label to change the sorting it first sorts them in ascending order showing me my invoices that are years old...

We need to be able to send invoices out in batches according to specific items, example all transportation invoices, all hotel invoices etc.

Draft should only get invoice # when sent
To avoid gaps in active invoice #, we should only associate an invoice # when the draft is sent or mark as sent.
Some of our invoices are created as drafts to keep track of our different incoming invoices for the same project. We send them at different milestones of the project. So, during the time that we work on a project, and it can take months, we can send many other invoices. This is where the gaps between invoice numbers is created.
So, drafts should have their own numbering (i.e : DRAFT-01) and get their invoice number when sent.

Invoice number suffix
In some countries invoice number is strictly defined by laws. I.e., invoice number is the first number, followed by some other numbers. For instance, invoice #34 could be 34-1-2, where 34 is invoice number, 1 is sales person identification, and 2 defines location.
It would be nice, if we can't define sales person and location IDs, if it could at least be possible to define suffix for invoices.

Bulk import old invoices
There is an import option regarding expenses, but these expenses do not have the corresponding invoices attached to them. These invoices you have to add one by one. It would be good to be able to bulk import old expenses the way you import receipts. That way when you start with zoho invoices but already have previous years of expenses, you have your whole administration in the same location.

In Zoho Invoice, apart from the pre-defined templates, we have something called “custom HTML templates”. These custom templates give you the freedom to build your own invoice template using HTML.

custom invoice template online payment
Show invoices using custom templates on the web portal. Currently, the PDF uses the custom template but the Preview and the Web Portal default to a standard template. It confuses customers right when we need them to trust the online payment system.

invoice show total of all invoices due
Can we have an option that shows on the Invoice for a customer, their current status of account. eg. I have customers who pay a lump sum in advance, each month the Invoice simply shows a that it's paid but doesn't show what their credit balance left is. Also if a customer hasn't paid the last bill, it would be good to show on the Invoice that they have an overdue balance without affecting the overall totals on that invoice.

Thank you for posting on our feedback forum.
1. For letting the clients know their credit balance, you can give them access to the client portal. When they login to the portal, they would be shown a dashboard which has information about their “Credits available”.
2. Displaying their overall balance due – For this, you can insert a placeholder in the email templates.
- Move to Settings > Email templates > Invoice notifications > Show mail content;
- Use the “Insert placeholders” option and insert the placeholder for “Customer Balance”;
- Save the changes.The above placeholder will just display their overall unpaid amount without affecting the balance of the current transaction.

Project Timesheet - Retain "View By" selections on Item Edit
While reviewing a Project, I consistently go to the Timesheet to either create or edit items. Everytime I create or Edit, the filter I had in place, is reset to the default load values.
Would it be possible to retain the filter values for the "View By" Filter under the Timesheet?
Steps to reproduce:
1. Login to ZOHO and goto "Timesheet"
2. Select a Project to review
3. Click the Timesheet Tab, next to Overview
4. For the "View By" filters, select a value no auto-selected.
5. Click an Item in the resulting view

Using Timesheets, user can view all projects as calendar view.
Using the project view, there is no calendar view.
Please add the same ability under the project/timesheet view.

Firstly Thank you for creating so amazing application. I have Organization and in which I have 3 division of business, if there can be an option in invoice, if I can see my outstanding in each division it will help me me as all 3 division are managed by 3 different Managers.

Linking logged sales person/Users with warehouses
Provision to configure Salesperson/User with warehouse so that if that sales person do invoice inventory should be deducted from respective warehouse and while making invoice warehouse field should be editable for only those users where default warehouse is not defined

Auto-complete Item Details
In the item field, show an auto-complete with recent items.
This would allow us to click on that item, instead of typing everything again.PayPal does this.

Include invoice attachments when printing or exporting PDF
I really like how PDFs for expenses are included in exports and printing.
However, I often need to attach additional documentation to an invoice that is not directly tied to an expense. I notice that these attachments are not exported or printed. It would be a great improvement to include invoice attachments in the export process.
