Allow child/parent contacts
Many large organisations have one financial office that pays the bills with many departments/subsidiaries that place the orders and take delivery. So it would be useful to be able to have a parent contact with multiple children. Quickbooks does this.

We also would like this. In QuickBooks this hierarchy is "Customer" as the parent account and "job" as the sub account. In Zoho CRM we added a custom field for it called "Parent Account" and in Books we just make sure all the billing contact information matches their corporate HQ. If you (Zoho) want to add some serious value and make yourself standout from QB desktop, implement parent child customers and allow the transfer of credit between them.

VERY frustrating. We are liking Zoho but this basic capability not being implemented is a massive oversite. Zoho - the operating system for small business (as long as your customers only have one location and don't pay several invoices with one check, etc. etc.)

We also have this same problem. We need to bill the corporate office but send product to each individual location. Trying to charge credit cards multiple times to pay invoices often results in a decline due to the frequency of the charges.It would be great to assign a billing contact to the parent and child accounts and group invoices into one payment and generate a consolidated invoice for the customer.

I have many clients that have multiple departments. I need to address each estimate to the correct person in the correct department. It is embarrassing to the client and myself, that I address an estimate to an incorrect person. Unless I edit the company's primary contact on every estimate, I can not address the estimate to the appropriate person, even though the correct name is already listed as an additional contact inside Books. Please allow us to have a drop down list of contacts to choose from when we address an estimate.

We really need this feature as several of our customers operate this way - we have it in our main ERP system (NetSuite) and it is available in most SMB systems.

Is this feature planned to be developped ?
It could be really helpful indeed, as numerous customers/suppliers have different sites/subsidiaries but at the end the same company and one financial office.
It could also be useful to follow the turnovers figures by child and parent contacts. -

Highly critical for many businesses and scenarios where this can come are are plenty
1. Dealing with a large customer where invoicing done to individual department but payment is done by a parent account.
2. Dealing with Sub-Dealers of a business/trade who have their own customers. So, invoices are for the customer. But money is paid by the Sub-Dealer.
3. SaaS tenants with their customers
And I can go on...
.But is someone going to take this up seriously.
