Change default payment method when recording payments
I really need to change the default payment method when recording payments. I want to change it to check and also change the default Deposit to: account.

I need this too. Why is it possible to choose a default account when recording payments but not a default method? It doesn't make sense to select a specific bank account as default account while payment method remains "cash" instead of changing to "Bank Transfer".

This needs to be there, along with changing default deposit account.

You can do 1/2 of this now. Go into RECEIVE PAYMENTS, then begin to receive a payment. Select the dropdown for PAYMENT MODE and then at the bottom click CONFIGURE PAYMENT MODE.
You can't select the default account though :-(
