Profit report by project
As time entries are linked to projects, invoices, expenses and bills should also be assigned to projects. That way a profit report by project could would also be possible.
Hi,
We now have the option to run Profit and Loss reports based on Projects.
You can go to Profit and Loss report and click on the customise option, you will see the option to select a Project there.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Zoho Books Team.

My original request 2 months ago specific to Supplier Purchase Orders & Supplier Bills ability to track by project: https://forums.zoho.com/topic/supplier-purchase-orders-applied-to-a-project
There was very detailed specific information on the request.

This was posted 3 months ago, same request:
We are considering Zoho Books but have yet to find an easy way to track true Project Profit. We are a consulting firm and need to easily report where we are income to expenses (net profit) on each project. Ideally, the P&L reports would have the ability to customize and filter by project.
What is the status of these additions to your product?
1) Sales Orders "linked" to a project.
2) Invoices created from the Sales Order linked to the project so the revenue is going to the specific project. The ability to invoice from a project only works if you are not using sales orders. *Note: We have not found a report of income by project only (vs. customer).
3) Supplier Purchase Orders "linked" to a project so when we receive the supplier invoice (bill) against the purchase order it is going directly to the project cost.
4) Project Snapshot: ability to capture ALL vs. only the limited time frames provided.
5) Ability to add decimal (.) to hours in project budget for staff hours.

We are currently able to track expenses paid by Credit Card or Checking to a project but unable to do the following:
1) Create a Purchase Order for a Vendor that is an expense towards a project
2) Vendor Bills that have expenses towards a project
3) Make a journal entry that is a credit/expense towards a projectThe original 'idea' was from 1 year ago, located:
