Profit report by project
As time entries are linked to projects, invoices, expenses and bills should also be assigned to projects. That way a profit report by project could would also be possible.

Hi,
We now have the option to run Profit and Loss reports based on Projects.
You can go to Profit and Loss report and click on the customise option, you will see the option to select a Project there.

we cannot even export the list of expenses from the project window? this is killing us...please allow export to .xls asap and let us know the status 'under review' since 7/9/15.

We've had to track on an excel, not ideal but our only 'work around' at the moment, holding out hope they get this done in 2015!!

Starting to really kill us over here, we have no way to create credits toward expenses allocated in a project; Vendor credits do not allow application project, Journal entries do not allow application to project...we REALLY need this enabled soon or may have reconsider the location of our books :(, PLEASE help us on this SOON we are a project driven company!

Absolutely agree with this, and I still don't know how your developers team haven't though of this in the first place? Every business has multiple projects and there should be an ability to connect expenses and income to their related project.

The report in Purchases & Expenses / Expenses by Customer is pretty useless since there is no way to get the expense details on a specific project.

The report in Projects & Timesheet / Timesheet details is what we need for Project expenses. It already has the filter for customer, project - can we duplicate this for the project expenses? This would be a BIG help and should be fairly easy to generate.

An important issue in order to have an actual profit & loss report for any given project, should be the possibility of adding an "hourly cost" for staff/task/project, besides the hourly rate.
So you can have expenses, bills and "hourly costs" to calculate your Actual Cost by project. And, on the other hand, invoices and hourly rates to calculate your income. Do the math and "voilà": your actual profit & loss for a given project!
