Contact report which shows all categorised income from bank statement import
I'm the treasurer of a busy, volunteer sporting club.
Our members pay each month by bank transfer. We do not invoice or send out any other paperwork - we just wait for the payments to come in and check who hasn't paid.
This is a long and laborious process.
In Zoho Books, I have added all our members as Contacts, and I have set rules up to categorise every bank transfer from that contact as a Sale Without Invoice.
This means that when I click on that Contact, the bar graph shows me how much they've paid over the last few months.
I cannot find this next bit of functionality, but if it exists, I apologise. If it doesn't exist, this would be a huge bonus to the system:
A Report which would export all your contacts (preferably with a filter to remove any contacts you didn't want prior to generating the report) and show the following details:
Down Column A would be all the contacts
Along Row 1 would be the months of the current year
Each Contact would have under each month the total amount paid
This means that at a glance, once I'd imported the bank statement and ran the categorisation rules, I could see immediately who hasn't paid, or who's not paid enough.
I could also then see an immediate members list with all relevant member details, and this would allow me to tie in with the Club Secretary on this point.
This is something a lot of local clubs like us need in terms of functionality, and it would be superb if Zoho could do this. As each Contact already shows that information individually, I'm hoping it's not too much of a leap to get it into a combined report format.
