Create CREDIT LIMITS against accounts in Zoho Books.
We require the ability to create limit credit limits within accounts.
When any business allows "credit limits" to their clients the word 'limit' is key - accounts have a limit applied to their credit which is often advised by carrying out a credit report.
We need ZOHO BOOKS to create credit limits which warn our finance department that the account has gone over their limit, and various features as seen as standard with many of your competitors.
Hi all,
We have added the option to set a Credit Limit for customers.
When the credit limit is exceeded, you can set up the option to restrict from creating/editing an invoice (or) show a warning message and continue creating/editing an invoice.
Refer to this Help Document that will elaborate on this feature – https://www.zoho.com/books/help/contacts/credit-limit.html

Please add this feature.
This is a basic accounting software feature, it's very frustrating that zoho doesn't have this, and it's frustrating and time consuming to use other software or apps to stay on top of credit limits.

Please implement this feature as it will enable us to fully control our credit customers automatically.

Again this is basic stuff that Quick Books and Sage have had for 15 years. Can Zoho please load this softwares, and be sure ALL options they have you have. We converted 8 months ago, and are so frustrated with the basics that are missing in Zoho, and the time consuming process to perform the funcitions we need to do.

I was thinking to add this KEY and I found your topic hit my subject, I dont think it's too hard to implement this KEY so I hope the developer move fast to add this feature.

This is a feature that would be needed by most compnaies using books.

Is Zoho willing this seriously? Create limit is a standard feature with any account and software?

This is required functionality for our business too. Is this in your product roadmap?

I believe ZOHO BOOK is moving really slow on this! Most of your competitors have this feature as box standard.
Time to catch-up with your competitors ZOHO!

The more I have tested zoho the more I feel I fallen really quite in love (something I never thought it possible of an accounts program) yet looming in the back of my mind throughout is 'credit limit'.
I really cannot of imagine many businesses that would not use this to some degree with the exception of a palm reader at local fair. It's quite standard in business to continue to purchase/sell till you or your customer have reached the credit limit and/or payment date. I know its not as sexy as having chrome extension for uploading expenses but it is far more important.
Does anyone know of a workaround this? the only way I can think of would be to create a custom field called credit limit and at the end of each day export to G sheets and write a custom script. any help would be greatly appreciated

Im testing Zoho (hoping to transition away from sage Line 50, truly one of the most dreadful programs ever conjured up). Some of the features in zoho's offering are very sophisticated but without the ability set a 'credit limit' its an instant deal breaker. I appreciate that it's not that easy to implement (if its going to be done correctly, warnings ect) but it's so so so basic.
I have also tested xero and this also doesn't have it (well not without a 3rd party addon, which is ridiculous), seems there is the opportunity for someone to get ahead of the game here

That's a standard feature on most accounting software and yes that would make doing business easier.
