For Books+Iventory: Add options for quicker/easier quantity entry & lines
I recently logged in to test Zoho, as I am awaiting until it is ready to handle the tasks that we require.
Currently, there is no easy way to quickly add lines. For instance, tabbing to move to other fields or pressing enter to create a new line.
One of the things that bothers me, is that when entering a sale quote or invoice, the format is SKU-Quantity.
There should be an option to reverse this. In the English language, when ordering 2 of the same item, it is standard to mention the quantity first, "I would like 2 iced coffees, cream no sugar".
The format that Books/Inventory uses is: "I wanted iced coffee, two of them, cream no sugar".
So if you want, keep this format. But add the option to reverse these two fields if the user desires. Also, please look at your competition. Every competitor offers the ability to enter, tab, create new lines quickly, easily, and intuitively. When I test, I am actually using my mouse to create new lines which is incredible slow. If there is a shortcut key for these actions, it should be made more visible and more intuitive.
Pray you get this done, along with commission calculations for the beginning of the next fiscal year. We would love to use Zoho, and it is very close to where it needs to be!

I just wanted to add, the entry lines in Zoho Inventory are different from Zoho Books. I read that you are planning to integrate Zoho Inventory into Zoho Books. In that case, I hope this suggestion would also be kept in mind for Zoho Books.
Allowing tabbing, shortkeys such as enter to create new lines, and the ability to use quantity before product code would be so helpful!
