You can treat money as an investment itself. You simply convert your time & efforts into one of the currencies. There are even forex trading platforms about buying and selling various currencies (basically just like the crypto market with bitcoins, ethereums, etc.) - https://fbs.com/. If you have enough free bucks, investing them into something perspective is better. You can convert money into stocks or even real estate, which is highly recommended due to the increasing human population. Based on your question, you have no idea about investments, so by any means, avoid risky ventures.
