Reporting Tags Preferences
Reporting tags are very useful but could be even more so if they were implemented more like custom fields with the following options:
Option to make Mandatory
Option to set Default value
Set the order of tag options
Set the order of tags

I would agree with multiple posts here. On invoices, I would like to use reporting tags like classes in QB. I have a class for each earner, the billing in done in QB and its a column so the person sees it every time and QB says if it is not entered. Here they have to remember to click the "..." each line item. If you could just even do away with the "..." and just have it show every time or even give me an option for it that would be very helpful in making sure our billing is done right. We are evaluating for migration and this seems small but it is big to our people.

making reporting tags mandatory would be a great feature
I would like to add that it would be great if we could use them in workflow automation rules.
i.e. when we choose some item, the tag field is updating

And make theM more visible when editing (kill the elipse!) Don’t make me drill into every line item to set/view my tags
