rationalise shipping address handling
We often deliver direct to our customers' customers at a different shipping address to the billing address.
The problem is that when we change the delivery address on an SO or Invoice this also changes the contact's default shipping address which means that any subsequently produced paperwork carries the modified shipping address, unless a conscious effort is made to restore the default. On more than one occasion this behaviour has resulted in goods being shipped to the wrong address.
At present the only ways to restore the default shipping address involve the laborious processes of either going into contacts and editing the addresses or by re-entering the correct address during order entry.
There are a few things Zoho could do to make this more intuitive:-
1) Make modified shipping addresses specific to the SO/Invoice/Del note etc. BUT NOT modify the default address in contacts.
2) Have a 'Copy billing address' button on the 'Edit SO/Invoice Etc.' page.
3) As others have suggested, allow for the storage of multiple shipping addresses for each contact, this would probably be the most useful way of doing it.
4) Have a tick box or radio button in the shipping address editing box that gives users the option of saving the edited address as default or not, as required.
