allow the adding of an extra percentage if paying by CC to recover the processing fee charged by the processing provider.

I just added WePay to my account, but if there's no way to pass their fees on, then that renders the gateway features completely useless. This should be an option for all of the companies in the payment gateway, not just PayPal. I really hope you implement this soon – I've seen postings about this dating back 3 or 4 years! What's the holdup?

This is needed and seems like a basic function. Stripe charges me 2.9% of the transaction total and $0.30 per transaction. I have no way of telling if a client will pay via check or credit card so the invoice needs to read my price. Most of my clients pay via check, however, some choose to pay by card. My invoices range from $3000.00 - $5000.00 so 2.9% (87.00 to $150.00) is a substantial amount to lose off due transaction fees. I currently have a statement on the terms section asking that they add the processing fee to the invoice total but
1) It looks unprofessional as hell and
2) Some chose to ignore it thinking it's my cost of doing business with them. -

I would like this feature as well. Even if this was a manually determined fee that I could input and have automatically applied if the client chooses the cc payment option. For instance, even if I could have a standard 2% fee applied to cc payments, this could be something that I notify clients of ahead of time and it is a predictable charge without any further confusion. I suppose that the paypal total would then increase and so on -- perhaps this aspect is the problem?
As far as I am concerned, I would be happy to be able to add this fee on to the post-sales-tax subtotal and let it go at that. But since not everyone is going to choose to pay by cc, I don't want to just roll in into all invoices.

It's really burdensome that you don't have this. With the integrations, it's easy to determine what the fees would be at the point of transaction and could be calculated in the moment. What plans are there for this?

Add my voice to the desire for this feature. We get tagged for a transaction fee from Stripe when our customers pay by credit card. We want to be able to automatically pass that along to our customers. PLEASE ADD THIS!

I started a forum request for this back in March 2014 (https://forums.zoho.com/topic/online-payment-fees#2266000008211840) so for three years I've been waiting for this so I really do hope this becomes a reality.
Invoicing is already something that takes up too much of my time and most times I don't even bother giving them the option for a credit card as the going back-and-forth adding the 3% if they choose to pay with a credit card, editing the invoice and resending again. On more than one occasion they've asked to pay by credit card, I edit the invoice, then they ask to send a check so editing and sending again. It's the biggest waste of my time.
Zoho, please make this happen....

Couple of additional notes:
1. Would want the adjustment to be applied only when payment is made through a processor with a fee (ie. not for cash or check payments).
2. They fees can vary by processor and within processor by payment type, so the formula could not be hard coded into the invoice until the payment details were entered. -

The calculation is not quite as simple as a percentage of the subtotal. There are two items to consider:
1. The processing fees are often a flat charge + percentage of the payment (ex. $0.30 + 2.75%).
2. The "adjustment" amount goes into the total charge and is then also charged the percentage component of the transaction fee.The calculation would be: Adjustment = (Subtotal + $FixedFee) / (1 - %Fee) - Subtotal

Adjustment can already be manually renamed, all Zoho needs to do is recognize the percent character in the adjustment amount. This can be done manually now as a workaround, but it would be nice to have it automatically calculate the percentage based on the subtotal.

An easy way to do this would be if the Adjustment field was able to take a percentage of the invoice total, rather than a fixed amount. Rename Adjustment to "Credit Card Processing Fee" or the like and you're all set.
