  1. Link emails sent from zoho books to zoho crm

    when sending an estimate or invoice from zoho books we can not see the email as a sent item in Zoho CRM Email or in Zoho Mail.

    the email does not show as well in the communications sent to the customer under the (contact, or potential ect..)

  2. Associating normally created Invoices to projects

    This feature will allow you to associate the Invoices that are normally created with projects. Please vote if you wish to see this feature in Zoho Books.

    We now have the option to create invoices and associate the unbilled projects to these invoices.

    While creating an invoice and selecting the customer, if the customer has unbilled projects you will find the option to select it in the item creation section of the invoice.

    It would be great if we could create various email templates for Estimates, Invoices, etc.

    Hi all,

    Except for Bills, Vendor Credits and Expenses, multiple email templates can be created for all other Sales and Purchase transactions in Zoho Books. To do so, go to Settings→Email Templates.

  4. Mark invoice as sent without sending

    When creating an invoice sometimes you do not have a customer email address but need to set an invoice as sent to show against the account. At present you have to "send" the invoice or go back into it to mark it as sent. I think it would be a great option to have an additional button to "Save & Mark Sent".

    Also when using the API if the send parameter is set to true it should mark the invoice as sent when there is no email address set for the client.

  5. Display information in description field in general ledger automatically

    To display information in description field in general ledger automatically allows users to have quick idea of the nature of the transactions. It save user's time to understand the nature of a particular transactions, and allow users to compare and scrutinize the overall transactions in a particular account.

    Actually, this is a common and a must function of any software providing accounting information!

    Hi there,

    We now have the option to include the description field in the Detailed General Ledger report.

    To do so, please go to Reports→ Select the Detailed General Ledger→ Click on customise report and include the description field by clicking on the +icon → Run the report.

  6. I would like to digitally sign my invoices with a digital signature

    I WANT TO USE MY DSC TO SIGN MY INVOICES. THE SAME DSC WHICH I USE ON THE GST WEBSITE

    Hi all, 



    You can now digitally sign your Invoices in Zoho Books using DSC dongle.
    Note: This feature is supported only on the Zoho Books’ Windows app. You will also have to be subscribed to the current Professional or Premium plan in the Indian edition of Zoho Books to use this.

  7. All sales reports need to take into account "Sales without Invoices"

    Working with a Non-profit where the majority of sales are donations we enter sales transactions using "Sales Without Invoices". Problem is that when you need to report on Sales by Customer no record of the "Sales Without Invoices" is displayed.

  9. Departments and/or Locations

    Allow transactions/reports by department/location. In my case I have an engineering business and a farm that I run together but need to be separated out for the taxman. Other users may have several shops (for example).

  10. Allow multiple customers for billable expenses

    This is basic accounting.. 1 invoice with several expenses that need to be billed to DIFFERENT customers. At the moment you can ONLY add a single customer so the ENTIRE expense needs to be purchased for a single customer. What if I buy 2 items from a vendor for 2 different customers? How do you make sure they EACH get billed to EACH client??
    Simple SPLIT amount for each customer would work.

  11. vendor payment terms

    Hi. Please as a matter of urgency make it possible to enter vendor payment terms. That way we will nor have to enter two dates on supplier invoices which will save a lot of time,

  15. Profit & Loss Report by Reporting Tag

    So I have only 1 Tag active out of the total 10 available and have about 30 options under that tag.

    I would like to have those 30 options appear in separate columns, like a table or matrix.

    Currently appears as:

    Account, Account Code and Total.

    I would like it to appear as:

    Account, Account Code, Tag 1 Option 1, Tag 1 Option 2, etc.

    Would make reporting really easy for Simple Job Costing or Project Costing.

    We have the option to run the Profit & Loss report based on the Reporting tag. 
    You can customize the P&L to filter the transactions for the chosen Reporting Tag.

  16. Create custom mail merge fields that can be linked in email templates and reminders

    To be able to create a custom field, I work in the property/real estate industry and it would be VERY useful to be able to create a custom field with the 'property address' and then be able to use this in the email templates and reminders as follows

    INV-XXX for %propertyaddress% from %companyname%

    Hi all,

    Custom fields can be created under Settings→Preferences→Contact→Field Customisation.

    After creating a Custom field for ‘Property Address’, go to Settings→Email Templates→Invoices to insert the placeholder for the newly created custom field in the Invoice email template.

  17. Duplicate item - Copy item

    Need to be able to Duplicate or Copy an Items. Many items are built using a small variation of an existing item. To be able to copy 95% of an items info and just modify the relevant aspect that is changing is much less work than creating a completely new item. Of course you can import export and create duplicates in excel but this is not idea. Much more user friendly to be able to build an item inside the tool by copying an existing item.

  18. Attachment in manual journals

    Possibility to place an attachment in the manual journals. This allows if I do not want to make postings of expenses in the module of expenses and to launch only in the newspaper, more accurate to have the option to put document attachment so I put my proofs of the expenses and other postings that the accounting should launch.

  19. Bulk re-assignment of expenses into new COA categories

    When a Zoho Books user decides to reorganize the Chart of Accounts (COAs), existing transactions cannot be easily moved to new COA categories. You literally have to edit each and every transaction. This is crazy. We just spent a couple of days editing hundreds of individual transactions because there is no bulk edit option. Why is this not being prioritized. We often update our COA categories, to align with our changing business model and IRS tax form categories. We like to align our COAs with IRS categories, so we don't have to pay our accountants extra money to move reclassify…

  20. Timesheet Projects - flat fee/cost, add multiple projects to invoice

    Some of my projects are flat fee and I classify the timed tasks for the project as non-billable. Also I typically have multiples of these Timesheet-projects in a month for one client.

    I would like the ability to add any number of Timesheet-projects to an invoice. Currently I can't.

    Currently I have to create the invoice from scratch to do this. But then those Timesheet-projects aren't tied to an invoice.

    So I also would like the ability to tie a Timesheet-project(s) to an invoice.

    An option to include all the unbilled projects associated with a customer in an Invoice is now available in Zoho Books.
    Find the ‘include unbilled projects’ option listed under the Item Table in the Invoice creation page.
