    This issue has come up in SEVERAL threads and is a real issue that needs to be addressed. This is a common issue (backorder/partial shipments) that is a standard feature in any system that deals with shipping.

    See related threads on this subject. some dating back over 2 YEARS!

    have the "Package" that is created, show what is not being shipped on current shipment (SEP 2018) -- 67 VOTES!! 2 years ago!

    i found this post after creating my own similar request which amplifies this need. it seems to me to be a obvious and very important feature for anyone that fulfills orders via multiple partial shipments. see my post titled: "Partial shipments notification to Customer".

    I feel the same way as "anonymous" -- this is a pretty standard feature that should be included. very surprised this has not been done since the original request was in 2018 and this has almost 70 votes as i write this in july 2020 -- 2 years later!! The inventory system already has this information stored in the sales order record.
