Allow Supplier Item Pricing in a Different Currency
I distribute products from suppliers arounmd the world. Their price lists are not in my base but their local currency - USD, JPY, EUR etc.
I need to be able to enter supplier currencies for each item. At the moment their prices have to be converted into the base currency. This means that when a Purchase Order is created in their currency the prices are always wrong (as exchange rates change) resulting in me having to manually update each price from a paper price list.
This wastes a lot of time and could be avoided.

Option for serial number entry while packaging and shipment
The inventory system should have option to enter the serial number while packaging and shipment and the system shall pick up the same while invoicing.
Because while sending the items to customer, we need to put the serial numbers in the document.

Package-wise billing
if the invoice could be raised by referring to packages made, Partial shipments can be easily invoiced.
For eg.
a sale order contains 100 items. only 80 is available in stock and can be processed immediately.
Packages can be created for these 80 items.
If there is an option while invoicing to point to the items packed in the packages, the invoicer need not manually go through all the 100 items to deselected the 20 that is not being shipped. Saves a lot of time, especially for us where we despatch about 200 items everytime.27 votes -
Predictive search to operate on all words
When adding items to a Purchase Order, the predictive text works very well for the SKU or the first words in the item name. However, this does not work for other words in the description and this would be helpful.

item price management based on quantity or total sales
I would like to have the ability to manage item price based on quantity for ex : from 1 to 3unit = price 1 , from 4 to 9 unit = price 2 etc ...
ORBased on total sales :
EX: from 1k to 3K >> price 1 or Discount 1
from 4K to 9K >> price 2 or Discount 2 etc ...thanks

Provide more flexibiltiy in inventory reporting
When executing inventory reports, (optionally) suppress inactive items and/or items with no stock.
Also, allow for modification of output columns (ie. include warehouse name in output)

Purchase made easy
There must be a way to list all low level items of the same vendor. Even better would be an additional list of all other items of this vendor. Then simply click the items you want to order and create (request) purchase order. It would be also handy if the list should show items which are already in request/purchase to avoid a double purchase.

There's no name associated with Ship to address field right now, may be different than the Bill to contact person or company name.

For Books+Iventory: Add options for quicker/easier quantity entry & lines
I recently logged in to test Zoho, as I am awaiting until it is ready to handle the tasks that we require.
Currently, there is no easy way to quickly add lines. For instance, tabbing to move to other fields or pressing enter to create a new line.
One of the things that bothers me, is that when entering a sale quote or invoice, the format is SKU-Quantity.
There should be an option to reverse this. In the English language, when ordering 2 of the same item, it is standard to mention the quantity first, "I would like 2 iced…

Have a backorder feature
When a SO is confirmed mark all items in that SO allocated, if stock allocation level falls below zero the item would become backordered. Then have a centralized list when one could go see any items that are backordered and have that integrate with PO's, so once ordered it would show as "on order"

Items view - sort by SKU
In the initial view of Items (from the sidebar) - you can sort by Name - but cannot sort by SKU.
Real world - you want to be able to sort by SKU

Notification System for Zoho Inventory on sync errors.
I had no clue that my orders were not syncing anymore. We need some way to get notified if a sync errors occurs. Either on the dashboard or in an email. That would alleviate tech support on your end as well as me having to explain to my employees to look out for it. Figured it out this time but I am sure there could be future errors too.
