Composite items must include non inventory items and services
95% of what we sell are composite items. Not all components that make up a composite item are inventory items. So we are back to square one. We can build half an item in Zoho with no services included which is not an item we sell. Which manufacturers are producing products with no work associated with that assembly? How are people using the composite item feature without this? This feature is getting very close and I want very much to use Zoho Inventory, but without this I just cant. Creating services as inventory items jacks up your books.

PO Approval
It is usual within organizations that when a PO is created (Draft) it needs to be approved by the supervisor prior sending to the Supplier. Right Now there is no automated way to do this. Processflow should be :
Create PO : --Draft
Approve PO -- Draft gets Approved by Supervisor (automatic email with the option Approve / Reject)
After Approval it may be send to the supplier.21 votes -

Customizable Packing Slips
Hello. We are in great need of customization on the Packing Slips. We have customers that require a whole slew of different combinations of the following added to a Packing Slip/List: PO#, number of cartons, carton weights, quantity of each carton, and several more...
As of now I have to save a PDF of the packing slip and edit the PDF in other software to add the required information. Sometimes, I forget which customer needs what and send out a packing slip with incomplete information. This makes my boss angry. He hits me. Just kidding, he doesn't hit me, but…

"Roles" in Inventory
There is only role in Inventory, i.e, Admin. Need some additional roles to invite my staff and customers to view and create orders for them

Allow Dropship with multiple vendors

Add an option to create packages by scanning a barcode
We would like to be able to create packages using a bulk input option (similar to Sales Orders) so that we can scan each product to add to the package at the same time as packing the physical box.

Autosum items' direct costs and display in composite item info
We are a manufacturing company using items as our direct materials and composite items as our finished goods. In order to streamline cost and margin analysis per composite item (final product), can you add an autosum feature to add all of the item costs and display in the composite item?

Inventory for Selling at events
It would be great to take inventory out of stock to an event, and estimate how much would sell at the event and how much should return. We have 1,000's of events per year and take X amount of inventory, plan to sell Y and have Z returning to be used for the next event. We also do this with multiple warehouses. This feature would be amazing.
