Making the Zoho Invoice supporting the Arabic language

We have an option called Custom Template and it supports Arabic characters. It’s like a HTML editor using which you will be able to design templates in the format you prefer.

Hosting on your own Subdomain
It would be a great add-on feature if we'd be able to host the invoices on our own sub-domain. [xyz.oursite.com vs https://invoice.zoho.com/portal/oursite]
There are other providers that offer this functionality via a DNS forward. It would be a fantastic branding tool.

Add columns to an invoice
I want to be able to add column headings to an invoice. For example, we already have a column for 'quantity', but I would like a column for 'size'. I want this column to follow through to a purchase order and a packing slip too.

Hi,
In Zoho Invoice you have the option to import data from your computer to speed up the data collation process inside every module. You can also export data from Zoho Invoice for your reference or other purposes. In each module, you would be able to find a menu icon, which when clicked, shows the option to import/export data corresponding to that module.The help document below explains this in a better fashion :

You can set up workflows and trigger email alert to achieve this :)
- Navigate to ‘Automation tab under ’Settings’ ;
- Create a new email alert and include the text that needs to be sent in the reminder email ;
- Now, create a new workflow rule and choose the module as "Estimates: ;
- Set the workflow type as “Date based” and enter when the workflow should be executed (that is, the number of days before/after the expiry date) ;
- Set the filters such that the workflow should be executed " When estimate status is ‘sent’ AND the status isn’t ‘Accepted’ ;
- Set the action as ‘Email alerts’ and pick up the email alert that you have created ;
- Finally, save the workflow.Hope this helps :)

Better deposit system
I have some clients when doing web design who give a deposit. I would like to be able to add the deposit and then be able to apply invoice items to it as work and expenses are completed.
For example a client pays $1000 deposit.
I perform 10 hours work at $50 an hour. I create and invoice and apply the deposit to the invoice so now the deposit sits at $500. etc.
I have tried the retainer invoice but do not quite find the usefulness of it as i cannot apply it to work done. Even if it could…

Retainer invoice would be the right way to go about this. By creating a retainer invoice from within the project, the retainer invoice would be linked to that project, fulfilling your needs. To know the exact steps, you can refer this help document as well :)

Keep the most recent date at the top of the Timesheet
I find it very confusing that the timesheet for all projects shows by default the oldest data points. I need to manually set it to Latest a couple of times a day.

company logo and custom theme
Could add a feature which allows the admin to set the company logo and theme for all other users to see instead of zoho invoice branding.
Could make the interface more personal to the company staff.

Company logo and themes : You can upload your company logo and set themes under Settings > Preferences > Branding.
The ‘Zoho branding’ on your invoices and emails can also be removed from the same page.

Viewing Invoices
When viewing an invoice I would love to click up and down to view the next invoice or previous invoice from the same customer. Currently I have to re-click on customers name and then go through invoice list to view the next or previous invoice.

After switching to the ‘Invoices’ section, if you type the customer’s name in the search bar on the top and hit Enter, the invoices belonging to that customer alone will be displayed.
Now, you can easily toggle between his/her invoices with a single click!

webhooks
Allow a developer to be notified when an action occurs through webhooks.
For example when a contact is created, a request is sent to a url describing what happened and any associated data.
I would really like to see this feature as I am currently forced to poll the API to check for updates to keep my data in sync.

expense date
Add date expense incurred

In Zoho Invoice, while creating an expense, you can very well mention the date on which the expense was incurred.
In case it’s a billable expense, the expense date would be displayed in the ‘item description’ field of the invoice created from the expense.

Hide Inactive Customers/Projects.
It would be great to be able to hide inactive customers and projects. My business has a medium turn over for clients for when we try to add time to the time sheet or creating invoices, the list of clients and projects is long. It would be nice to have the list shorter to only show active customers.

We would like to clarify that once a contact has been marked ’Inactive", it is not possible to create any kind of transaction for that client.
In the Contacts tab, if you choose that contact, you can only see the “Mark as active” option. Only if it is chosen, you can have further transactions with him/her.
Also, inactive customers won’t be listed while creating transactions.

Automatically mark invoices as paid
We only use Zoho Invoice for receipts; ie only after the order has been created and paid for. This means that we have to manually mark each invoice as paid and put a date on it, after typing it out and creating it. These extra steps take a lot of time and sometimes get missed out (as they are not necessary), which can cause problems with reports later.
It would be great if we could automatically mark invoices as paid when they are created. This could be done with a Workflow Rule, but at the moment there is no 'action'…13 votesHi there,

Automation of discount or Early payment discounts.
Need an option to offer discount if the customer pays early.

In Zoho Invoice, you can set up a custom function and execute it using a workflow rule so that when the invoice is paid within the due date, the specified discount will be applied and if the invoice crosses the due date, the discount will be removed.
