Import / export client list, invoices, bills, etc...
Hi,
In Zoho Invoice you have the option to import data from your computer to speed up the data collation process inside every module. You can also export data from Zoho Invoice for your reference or other purposes. In each module, you would be able to find a menu icon, which when clicked, shows the option to import/export data corresponding to that module.
The help document below explains this in a better fashion :

Reshma.

Hi Reshma,
Please do not close this request.
The issue with the import process is that you can not import partial updates. This means if data already exists in Zoho and you wish to append/add more data, the import process with reject the entries. This functionality is important as there is currently no way to do bulk update into Zoho without having to drop every table first and completely re-import all the data.

Hi agree too. A better importing system for contacts and invoice. Using excel and the field matching

Highly agree with Michael and Liz. Need a method to import partial datasets (updates instead of inserts).

why you don't have export of invoices into excel or whatever files need by the users?

It would be great to bulk export PDF invoices. Today this is a manual process or you can only export the data in csv / xls

The current csv import/export options are great, but:
- as Lis says, it would be great to be able to update existing rows - this would make it a lot easier to apply changes to projects or clients in bulk
- it would be good if there was also an option to import/export all the csvs in one go as a zip file, rather than going to each section and exporting just the relevant rows for that section -

There is a way to import these, but it's a bit clunky ... if you first set up some placeholder accounts and transactions in Zoho you can export the data to see how fields are mapped, then configure your CSV files accordingly when you do the import.
I have definitely saved some time by setting up my own CSV templates (Contacts and Invoices).
However, I didn't have any luck updating the above via CSV imports — Zoho ignored the rows that already existed instead of updating them, but I haven't spent a lot of time so there might be a workaround.

In order to move to Zoho Invoce we will need a way to import open invoices from other systems. An upload program using csv file would be fine. But just give us something.
