    You should be able to create custom fields for these modules. If you directly ask support, they can provide you with a automation script that will get the Product Code from your Items and fill it into the custom fields of the other modules when creating an Invoice/SO/PO, etc.

    Have you tried creating a new currency and then adding a manual exchange rate?

    While I agree that Cash accounts should also allow for foreign currencies, my organization is set up with multiple foreign currency cash accounts by listing the account as a "Bank" rather than "Cash". They will also appear in the Banking module then for easier monitoring. You can then also import transactions in case you are tracking them elsewhere as well as do a reconciliation any time you do a re-count.
