    I agree! We need to be able to create purchase orders from Estimates and/or Invoices. This would eliminate the hassle of using Sales Orders to link purchase orders to an invoices.

    You can now do this from a sales order. But for our process it would be very helpful to be able to just create a PO from the estimate and also convert the estimate to the Invoice. Right now we are going to use Sales Orders as an internal document just to keep a link between PO's and Invoices even though we do not send Sales Orders to customers.

    I agree, the Estimates stay in the accepted status and can provide confusion as to if anything has been done on them. Having them update to be "Converted to Sales Order" or something similar would show that we are done with the Estimate section and it can be considered closed and our process controls can work.
