Just saw that Zoho Books now does payroll in both California and Texas. WELL DONE! Can't wait for Florida to be available.

Is there a way to down vote this idea? Seriously. The only reason I can think that someone would not want to have their activity logged in a financial software is because they don't want to get in trouble for mistakes or because they are doing something nefarious. Is there another use case that would be beneficial to the company to turn off activity logging? Even if you want to prevent one non-admin user from seeing another user's activity, for things like payroll checks and the like, those are changes that should be make to permissions and not disable tracking all together. If someone accidently deletes an entire transaction and does not know how to undo it, how else would anyone know it was deleted unless there was an audit log? Truthfully, the current implementation of the "Activity Log" for the US version of Zoho Books is not a true audit log anyway. That is why I have a feature request to have it implemented for the US like it has been done for other versions. See the below link for more details. Something like that is really the only way to catch intentional and/or accidental errors. https://www.zoho.com/books/kb/reports/audit-trails.html

The functionality that is currently available in the US version only allows you to see that a transactions was changed, when, and by whom, but the critical thing it is missing to be an "Audit Trail" is that it does not track what was changed in the transaction. To see the currently available information, view "Activity Logs" under "Reports" and that should give you the details currently available. What would make it a true "Audit Trail" is to implement the already existing features found in the non US version that are documented at this link below. I have made a feature request asking that they do just that. https://www.zoho.com/books/kb/reports/audit-trails.html

I believe this functionality is already available in the US version but it does not allow you to see the details of what was changed, just that it was changed and who changed it. Look up the "Activity Logs" under "Reports" and that should give you the detail you are looking for.
